Question - Auto forage

/plugin MQ2autoforage load then that should start you foraging. There is an ini file created that logs all the items you forage within a zone so you can go into the ini and set to destroy which is helpful in some zones as your inventory gets full very quickly.

Says it could not be loaded

When i saw this thread, as scrolled over those hadnt caught up on, I got excited.

For a moment, I thought it was a plugin to help do blacksmithing.
sure, years ago there was lots of manual clicks until the game itself recipe lists, combine and auto-inv buttons.

But still, thought it was something that would run around buying from vendors, go to the forge and make things, clear the bags / sell to vendors. Continue on until reached a desired skill level, or the plats ran out.

Alas no... not playing with a smiths forge at all, but foraging the around the ground instead.

🤪😜

anyone have an updated Forage list of items to keep and destroy updated for TOV ? or how can I just add a keep all button and ill destroy it later

/startf and /stopf to toggle it once the plugin is loaded.
I hate the game spamming that I need to stand up to forage when I am FD or dead, so I'll use a /stopf to get rid of the horde of spam messages.

My wishlist would include not standing up to forage if I am sitting / medding / etc. Just don't try to forage until I stand up again. ;)

Are these commands enabled in RedGuide?
StopOnHail=on
StopOnTell=on
StopOnGM=on
I can't get them to work. Maybe my syntax or procedures is wrong. Are they functional?

So there isnt any listing for things like keep, destory, ignore, destroy is not working in TOV no matter how you spell it. what will stop me from or at least destroying items I dont want?

/destroyitem Fishing Grubs
Do this for each item you want to destroy and once in each zone that you're going to forage in. The settings are zone specific, so if you set the item to be destroyed while in Eastern Wastes and then you move to Great Divide, they won't be destroyed until you repeat the command in Great Divide.

ok awesome this will destroy future items not just ones in your inventory right?

what is the name of the ini file an where is it located? I cannot find it.

I know this is an older post but I'm having the same issue, here's the MQ2forage.ini (as there is no MQ2Forage_charname_server for this plugin. I've added the item's both by typing the name and linking it with shift-click
MQ2Forage file

Inventory

this used to work fine, but I've reinstalled everything on this PC from the Windows up, so all new fresh install

turn on MQ2Forage , /plugin mq2autoforage load noauto ( its not on by default, you can just do it without the noauto the noauto is just so it doesn't load forage on every toon you log in ) that will create your MQ2Forage_charaternamehere_servernamehere , it should start that file once you do this then you can edit the file

example:
[The Overthere]
Pod of Water=keep
Vegetables=keep
Roots=keep
Cockatrice Egg=keep
Fishing Grubs=keep
Wet Clay=destroy
Shimmering Vigna=destroy
Cracked Shell=destroy
Berries=keep

Grimlock

From JerkChicken's last changes, if you don't have an ini at all it will default to MQ2Forage.ini. The one with the link in the ini isn't going to match (the long one with numbers).

I need to see about updating the the how to use stuff,

The plugin searches for the current INI file in the following order
1) MQ2Forage_CharacterName_Server.ini
2) MQ2Forage_Server.ini
3) MQ2Forage.ini
It uses the one it finds first per character. So you could have one toon use it’s own and the rest of your team to use a global, or server specific file. If it does not find 1 or 2 it creates 3.

To get started load the plug in and then /startforage on your toons.

When you set an item to /destroyitem <name> does it need to be the exact name or can it be in all lower case?
