Question - Anyone have a way to automate tradeskilling 301-350?

I know there are trade skill macros out there, but they seem to be focused on 1-300 rather than 301+. I'm wondering if anyone out there has an idea for how to do this or has done so already.

This would be extremely popular. 301-350 is a massive pain in the ass

I’ve tinkered with it some but if it were ever to be released it would be behind a paywall.

That’s most definitely reasonable. Honestly, this would be a fun data problem... if you can get the data ingested from eqtraders and format it correctly, the actual macro to do the combines wouldn’t be too complex (or at least there are enough combine macros out there that you could swipe syntax from).

Would be neat to see.

omfg that would rock if that was doable.. but the amount of data to feed in... im' happy with my artisans prize sitting at ~75%.. i don't have the energy or patience to max it out..

I’m with ya, man. At least go buy all the recipe/TS books in PoK and elsewhere .. that is usually enough to boost it a bit.

yeah heh.. alot of ppl miss the whack of tradeskill book sellers up just outside the POK library and to the left of the library entrance.. quite a few books on all of them.. but that accumulation of books gets ya up to 12 or 15 points in some of the TS's..

As far as actually pushing one to max to skill your artisans.. best one to do bang for your buck is fishing.. 200-250 is not too bad.. bunch of lures basically.. took less time than anything else...

I even would be happy with some automation.

- Buying all the books and scribe them automatically

any clue how to use the scribe button in MQ2?

The problem is not all of the materials would be vendor bought. Writing a macro to just do all the combines if you have the mats is easy.

I should probably have put this somewhere else, but it relates to this current topic.

Know Before you Go: Tradeskill Books to Scribe Master List

NOTE: YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY DEPENDING ON WHAT VENDORS YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY VISITED/BOOKS YOU HAVE SCRIBED/RECIPES YOU HAVE LEARNED, ETC.

Before you being your quest to reach 350 tradeskills in EverQuest, you will want to find and scribe as many books as possible If you learn all the books below, it should give you all the recipes currently obtainable by scribing books. I will do my best to keep this post updated over time.
  1. Visit Scribe Zikett in PoK by the small bank, and stop by Blacksmith Gerta and Tailor Kujen afterwards to check for other missing books. Its also wise to check the tradeskill sellers in the exterior room just off of the entrance to the library. Be sure to stop by and see Borik Darkanvil (he's on find) as he appears to carry 2 books not available elsewhere. For the sake of completion, you may also wish to stop by Culturist Devari and purchase any missing books.
  2. Go to Argath, and check Bookseller Shoden's inventory for unscribed books. While the bookseller is not on find, you can use find to go to Yaun who is standing near him.
  3. Visit Abysmal Sea and hit up these merchants: (note: dont skip the tinkering because you dont think it applies to you)
    • a tradeskill armor historian
    • a cultural tinkering historian
    • a cultural tailoring historian
    • a cultural smithing historian
    • a cultural discoveries historian
    • Detour #1:
      • While you are in Abysmal Sea, go ahead and hit up the quest givers and either grab the freebie quest recipes if you have never done these quests years ago or say "recipes" if you've done them years ago but didn't get credit for the recipes. A quick test to see if you have done these quests previously is to put an unrefined item (ex: taelosian wheat) into the associated tradeskill container by itself and combine. If it refines (ex: taelosian flour), then you are good to just say "recipes" to the quest giver and you will learn all of the recipes associated with that skill's quest. You will need to repeat this process for each tradeskill.
  4. Visit Crescent Reach and hit up these merchants: (note: dont skip the tinkering because you dont think it applies to you) I think these are duplicates of Abysmal but the other person i was doing this with had a few books missing, so not 100%
    • a tradeskill armor historian
    • a cultural tinkering historian
    • a cultural tailoring historian
    • a cultural smithing historian

    • While you are in Crescent Reach, go ahead and hit up the quest givers and grab the freebie quest recipes if you have already done these quests years ago but didn't get credit for the recipes.
  5. Visit Katta Castrium: Deluge and hit up Artisan Antemm. I didn't get anything off of this guy but you might - i dont know if he duplicates previous vendors we've already hit or i had just bought them previously.
  6. Go to Plane of Tranquility. See Aelisian Taliz.
  7. Go to Shard's Landing and check out Craftkeeper Bobus Tindlefoot. He offered me nothing new, but again its hard to tell without visiting it yourself.
  8. Go to Thulisaar Island and get the Thaell Ew book from Armorer Xochtli (Note: This requires faction, etc.). This faction is very easy to come by as it is storebought, so don't let that deter you. Simply hand in stacks of "loaf of bread" from a Thaell Ew haggler in the zone to any chef type mob in the temples. You can also hand in any ore to the armorer types.
  9. Go to Brell's Rest, and find Useful Automated Vendor (next to Shining City entrance). Check all of his items, but in particular you'll want these two:
    • Black Acrylia Weapon Ornament Sketchbook
    • Ceramic Weapon Ornament Sketchbook
    • On Quivering
  10. Stop by Sunrise Hills, and visit Garik Nogflop. He has two scribable books.
  11. Travel to Demiplane of Decay. While it will not assist you in your journey to 350, for the sake of completeness, you will want to buy the book, The Lost Art of Working with Wither and Decay, available from the Seller of Salvaged Souls.

Some of the books listed here won't technically assist you in reaching 350, as they must be scribed before you can make the recipe combines, however, this will save you some time and trouble and potential grief in tracking these recipes down later in your quest to 350.

this guide was obtained here. I dont want to steal credit. Tradeskill Books

I would love a macro which would use the output file, figure out which recipe's I'm missing, take that data and compile a list of materials needed to finish.

I can do all the combines from there. Its figuring out what I need that's a pain in the ass.

This is a website that will compare your output file and tell you what your missing and give links to EQtraders. It may be of some help for macro creation.

Tradeskill Checker

This is awesome! What’s the easiest way to generate a shopping list / camping list from this?

Hmm well that I don't know. Only thing I can think of is for someone to talk to Niami Denmother over at EQTraders and see if she will give out the dbase for parsing. Then matching the output from the tradeskill checker to that dbase and give a mats needed. I know squat about dbases and how to do that.

I know you can copy the website generated output and put into excel. Then maybe make a field that matches the output field to something in the dbase and pull cells??

I fing hate HATE tradeskilling! Always have, always will. GD time sink. Always was a hack and slash from day one. Doing quests, ugh. Progression when it came about...double ugh... tradeskilling.... rather poke my eyes out with a Wurmslayer! I would pay well for this macro!

There is some VERY wild speculation that the new expansion might include a quest that extends the shawl or requires high-level tradeskills. I'm unconvinced DBG will put in that kind of time and energy, but you never know, I suppose.

If no one wants to create the macro for doing the tradeskills. What about an external script to create a shopping list of dropped and bought items baised on your unknown recipes. i'd be willing to pay for that as well.

Oh I figured if Great macro readers are watching someone may be able to automate my 5 necros to produce awesome deeps without even trying.
Thankyou for the link

For do this, you will need so many items, from forage, farm in so many zones, fishing in so many zones too.
It will be doable, but with 500'000 lines of code, just for the list of items name needed, and for some are almost rare drop, etc..
If thats help, i know 2 people who have made something for make your tasks more easy :

I've always wondered about this setup with a cleric merc when I came back to boxing. I believe mobs would melt!
