Question - Aid Grimmel and PoP Pregression

So, having maxed TS for the ToV earring, I have been looking into the Artisan's Prize. Xanthe's earring wasn't so bad, but when I looked into the Signet quests I discovered that I needed to complete the Aid Grimmel line (serves me right for not doing my research first).

To get the little feller to talk to me, it appears I need to complete PoP progression, as in actually flagged. Is this still true? No shortcuts?

Just start working on it. You’ll be surprised how quickly you’ll make progress.

I started and completed on 5 toons inside of of a week. You have to be diligent on spawns and meticulous on the hails ensuring you are getting the character flag yellow messages. Im doing Artisan Seals atm, getting close to my prize.
The "setting up 18 houses and saving every tradeskill item and buying @jande 's tradeskill macro" is probably the best i've done.
Will go nicely in the ToV ear

@jande ‘s macro, even behind a pay wall, is one of the best things to come out for MQ2 in a long time. It is absolutely why I went on the journey to get to 350 in all TSs.

wouldnt even consider trying anything over 300 without it. Now, with that done I have gotten so much other things going. Ear, aug, trophys... big change for me

PS on FV don't bother with PoP signet is usually for sale in bazaar
