Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Instructions: Must be lvl25 or higher

USE AT YOU OWN RISK!!!!!

You need MQ2warp, MQ2piggyzone (or some for of warp/zone)
1. Click on the links and DL the filesIN YOUR MACRO FOLDER Except for piggyzone.

2. You will get pop ups saying do you wish to replace file. Say yes

3. Go to POK and shroud to a rogue (goblinoid)IMPORTANT:go to actions window then go to abilitys (looks like a hand) or just hit ctrl-a. right click on one of the empty boxes and pick Hide. Then click on another and pick sneak. YOU MUST DO THIS EVERYTIME If you dont you will die!!! Pick between a lvl25and a lvl 65 others wont work. pick the one closest to your level. NO70. (no tasks for a 70)

4. Pick your aas (i sugest Defense aas and runspeed)
5. Go to the zone that you will be doing task in (most /zone take you right to taskgiver i.e. /zone dreadlands will take you right to marana. DO NOT /zone OUT OF POK PLEASE) and find taskgiver
6. TARGET taskgiver
7. then type /mac advtaskwarp2 (Or make a hot key to do it On mine i put on the first line /log on {so if i die i see where} 2nd line i put /afk gone to get some beer or whatever 3rd line i put /anon on and 4th i put /mac advtaskwarp2)And watch it go

If you get hung up please let me know what task/where you were/if you died/ and i will get to it ASAP oh and RC are nice always

Altaymi is the one who needs alot of credit also for maintaining this macro b4 i took over

Oh and dont start the macro right in front of the taskgiver. warp into a wall or something. (dreadlands you are in a wall when you /zone. This way nobody sees 15 character camped out in the open. you will be in zone for avout 13 mins a pop. you will have hide sneak on but if it fails your done. This /zones a ton.

On a side not i used this for 8 hrs straight last night no hang ups. was shrouded to a 65 rouge

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Just please be careful if you use this. This is what got me banned (later reversed), and I suspect another member reported me when he was doing the same thing lol Of course it was the bitch Lydrea that was carrying the ban stick at the time and went wild on a bunch of people on different servers using it, but it doesn't mean that they're still not keeping an eye out on this one. I'm *guessing* they're probably watching more in the new expansion, but you never know.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

I still see one particular group of /anon folks from a high-end raiding guild on my server sitting around in LS for extraordinary amounts of time. I sometimes get tempted to /petition (cause the guy is the GL and a total fuckin asshat), but then I remember that karma's a bitch.

Nothing to do with this, I guess, but just wanted to share :P

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Tried this tonight and after I run the mac it looks for AdvTaskRunner2.inc and cannot find it. I do not see this one in you post.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

#include AdvTaskRunner2.inc used to be for the AdvPath version that would run you everywhere. Change that line to the name of the include file of the zone that you are in.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

OK thx I changed that and it starts running but since I never ran this before I am confused. He seems to just stand there asking for tasks, brings up task menu and scrolls then exits menu. Isn't he supposed to accept a task then run around doing the task?

Also he doesn't seem to hide while asking or after asking for the task so I get attacked in Overthere.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Sounds like you don't have the .ini file loaded which determines what tasks you will accept. Make sure you have all the files in the right place so it can use them to determine which tasks are appropriate for yout lvl ... look at the .ini file and also make sure they are not all "0"s The next thing to look at is the ones in the .ini file that have a "1" at the end are the tasks it will accept. See if while it is doing the task asking if it is refusing a task that had a "1" BTW what lvl are you? Make sure your at the right task giver for your lvl.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

I am lvl 35 Rogue shroud. or 36 rogue unshroud btw. I am trying to start it at Skizz Skazz.

How do I know what task giver is for my lvl? I thought they would tell me when I try to get a task. I put a 1 next to some of the tasks he is giving out to me but still no accept. What do I do to load the ini ? I thought I just did the config and hit the macro ... No???

There was a spot that did a call for AdvTask.ini so I changed that to AdvTaskWarp.ini. I see a call for AdvPathPoll... What is this? I don't see this file on the list.

rawwar said:

Do all of the files belong in the Macro folder?

I'm seeing the same thing as a 55 rogue, hide and sneak keys made, in the wall talking to Marana.

I changed the INI so that all missions are =1 rather than =0.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

FYI, I noticed after running the advtaskwarp2.mac that it created AdvTask.ini but the INI posted on this site is called AdvTaskWarp.ini. I renamed AdvTaskWarp.ini to AdvTask.ini and it did accept a task (Crater Rim Run). It then loaded mq2autoforage and went no further. After looking over the code it looks like the autoforage starts AFTER the task has completed in order to be doing something until the lockout timer is up. Why does it think the task is done almost immediately?

It's done this on two different tasks. I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

This working for anyone else? I don't know what we are doing wrong. Followed directions but I could be a noob and missing something.

you can see what tasks you need 1's by

So for example 35 you would put a 1 by high and low, falling into goblin teritory, trailblazing....ect. These files need to be in your macro folder (i forgot to mention that) And the runer version is broke. It likes to get hung up and drown alot. I tried messing with the path but to no avail. Also if you get agro (very rare) with the runer you will prolly die cause it will agro the zone by the time you get to where you want to go.

Right now you can tell i had it set up for a 65 shroud. and didnt change the 1 to 0. The auto forage was set up a long time ago. (prolly run by a druid or ranger) from the original macro. Just put a | by that line and it will rule it out.

I would also do the ones for your level. if i picked the lvl 35 task at lvl 65 i would get far less xp. So take the time to look at the files to see what is needed.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

in the advtaskwarp2.mac code there is this

Rich (BB code):
sub TimerTrap
  |   /call Start_Lockout_Activities
    /varset TMR_GoTask ${Math.Calc[${TMR_TaskStart}+15.10]}
      |~DeBugger /echo Now: ${Math.Calc[${Macro.RunTime}/60]} Go: ${TMR_GoTask}
    :checktimer
    |/varset CurrentTime ${Time.Minute}.${Time.Second}
    /if (${Math.Calc[${Macro.RunTime}/60]} >= ${TMR_GoTask}) {
      |~DeBugger /echo Now: ${Math.Calc[${Macro.RunTime}/60]} Go: ${TMR_GoTask}
       | /call Stop_Lockout_Activities
        /return
    } else {
      /delay 100
      |~DeBugger /echo Now: ${Math.Calc[${Macro.RunTime}/60]} Go: ${TMR_GoTask}
      /goto :checktimer
    }

Look where i put the RED | marks this will stop the auto forage.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Thanks for the replies. I did as you instructed by commenting out the sections calling the autoforage but I don't think that was the root of the problem. After I get the task it just sits there doing nothing.

This is as a 55 rogue. I edited the INI file per your instructions and only enabled the tasks available at 55. Everything else has =0 after it.

After getting the task I see "You have been assigned the task 'Upward Mobility'." in the chat window but the MQ window says "[MQ2] [Time] Getting New Task 2/8.

It looks like what ever is watching for the event is not doing it's thing. It gets the task but doesn't start this part of the code.

Rich (BB code):
#Event Upward_Mobility "You have been assigned the task 'Upward Mobility#*#'."

Rich (BB code):
sub Event_Upward_Mobility
    /echo [${Time}] Starting: Upward mobility
    /doevents flush

Yes, I double checked and MQ2PiggyZone is loaded.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Does your macro file have this line?:

#include AdvTaskWarp_Dreadlands.inc

If you have an #include line for the Runner file (ie. the code from page one of this post), you should replace it with the #include I've indicated.

The events to be triggered by the Dreadlands tasks are all coded in this #include file. If this file is not loaded (explicitly by the macro), none of the Dreadland-related events will be in memory and eligible for triggering. This certainly would explain/describe the symptoms you're reporting.

That fixed it. I didn't know I needed to add that part. I'm certainly learning a lot about this process. =)

Alatyami described it more generically in an earlier post:

"#include AdvTaskRunner2.inc used to be for the AdvPath version that would run you everywhere. Change that line to the name of the include file of the zone that you are in."

Glad I could help. I've used this macro ALOT since it came out, so I understand how it can help. Hehe, for awhile, they removed the timer on this task (dropped from 30 minute timer to no timer). 3+ AAs per hour. The good old days.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

OMG im an idiot!!! put the right file in for advtaskwarp2.mac Had runner in there. WOW long night i guess.

Now the problem im haveing on the 35 tasks is that its not reading the waypoints from the piggyzone.ini. My 65 DL tasks are fine but i was doing holdingthefort and i /zone lakeofillomen holdingfort and it gave me bad waypoint. So i C/P straight from the piggyzone ini and /warp loc and boom update no problems at all. Do you think thats a prob with the piggyzone.dll?

Holding the Fort is listed in both Dreadlands.inc and Overthere.inc. Don't know if that's creating a confusion or not. I've never used Overthere successfully. I also use MQ2Trek, not Piggy, so I can't say much about Piggy problems.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

How hard would it be to set this up to use for progression task like the lvl 69 & 70 DoD spell task. I have all the information (npc name, Location) already, just want to be able to load them and go.

Oh, one other question. I'm sure there is a logical answer, but I either dont see it or (more then likely) don't understand it. Why do we need to avoid using lvl 70 rogue shrouds? :confused:

first it would be hard to code for DODH tasks cause there is fighting

2. no tasks for a 70 that are no fighting

p.s. working on the 35 quest now

65 done

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

reworking the lower tasks. be patient as i can only do 1 every 15mins. lol 35 is done just testing the overthere tasks. will repost with the new locs and such as soon as i get a flawless run

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

I don't mean to come off as insulting, but this thread doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It seems totally random with no definitive explanation of what to do. What are the two text file boxes on the first page and what do we name them in the macro file? Are they .ini files or are they macros? If someone could explain what to do with all of this code in a logical manner, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

First code is advtaskwarp.ini. Turns tasks off and on.

Second code is just a bunch of events. belongs in either an .inc file or .mac file. probably one of the inc files.

Third code just disables forage.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

Wel it looks like I have to redo the first page. Red put a limit on how much can be in a post. Ill redo all of it as soon as i get home. Also i can continue fixing the quest now that piggyzone is working again

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

I'm having a problem with the lvl 55stuff, I have a spare acct with a 56 rogue and I can't get the macro to work properly, it used to work fine prior to the patch for sure on the lvl 65+ stuff and ran unattended for 12+hrs no problem.

now i am trying to AA my rogue but i'm having a problem with it not /zoning properly, I can /zone into the zone no problem ie sebilis but i end up at the normal zone in point (the /zone sebilis "waypoint") portion isnt working, i can then do a /warp wp "waypointname" no problem and the task updates but it wont automatically do it, I am running RQ 7.3 and i also downloaded the goodies.zip with mq2piggyzone, I also added my waypoints list to the mq2piggyzone.ini as well as created a waypoint.ini file.

Basically if I manually /zone and /warp WP i have no problems only when i try and let the macro do its job it wont work.

i've also tried modifying the macro ini file from:

/zone sebilis waypoint
/call zoner
/call taskcheck

to:
/zone sebilis
/call zoner
/warp wp waypoint
/call taskcheck

and it still wont work, it just zones me into the zone and then immediately zones to the next step and doesnt update the task or even warp to the WP

any ideas or is this something that was broken during the last patch?

i tested my shrouded lvl65 and it completed the first one no problem but it may not have had custom waypoints set?

Im having the same problem. I had it going for 2 days at a time before patch on lvl 65 shroud, but it wont complete them now (

You can manually warp to the desired location (using MQ2Rwarp, I assume). Piggyzone works fine with zone-in waypoints (for me it does). You say you added your waypoints from waypoint.ini (rwarp's source) to Piggyzone.ini.

One of two choices, I think: you have a bad version of Piggyzone, or a bad piggyzone.ini. Easiest to check is the latter. Specifically, when you added the waypoints, did you check to see if you had an existing section for the target zone? If you simply added the entries, including zone/section name, to the end and you already had a section for that zone (ie. missing the waypoints), you would see the results you're getting. The routine will search for the first instance of the zone/section name, then for the desired waypoint.

So, check your piggyzone.ini. If you're not sure of what you're seeing, post it up and someone will take a look at it.

Re: AdvTaskWarp2 good as of 3/3/07

definately seems to be the piggyzone thats the problem or at least the ini file

when in trak i can "/zone sebilis literacy" and i end up at the zone in, if i then "/warp wp literacy" i end up at the correct loc

piggyzone.ini file http://www.3sgtemr2.com/mq2piggyzone.txt
