Would it be possible to add the function to CWTN plugins to prioritize what mobs to pull when in Hunter Tank mode? That way, if they're within the radius, they'll be first to target vs other mobs?

I know currently it can be done roughly by just adding everything else to the ignore list. However, if they're KOS mobs, I don't want my character to completely ignore them if aggro'd along the way.

no we have no plans on doing that

but you can get super fancy if you want

however and importantly this is a "use at your own risk and if you have bad outcomes from it that is on you" (I frequently use this if im farming faction and don't want to use one of the other utilities/tools that allows that)

if you do the following - now you will huntertank for only mobs that are wolves and spiders and you can mess around with the different alert being added to "2"

/alert add 1 noalert 2
/alert add 2 race wolf
/alert add 2 race spider

also and to be clear - ignoring means "dont pull this mob" not "let this mob bust me in the face and i'll ignore it" - we don't ignore mobs who meet our combat conditions - pull ignore has nothing to do with combat conditions if you were hunter tanking and ran past a mob that got in combat with you, you're going to stop and fight it

To caveat on what Sic said. If you have toons following and they get aggro outside of your "campradius" then it's possible the huntertank stops to wait for the mob to enter camp. Which can cause non tank toons to get killed unchecked if the distance is great enough. Ensure your campradius is increased to account for that in huntertank.

Question: Might there be a TLO to check if mobs are on the ignore section? if not, is it possible to have one?

${CWTN.Ignore[a zombie]} something like that? thanks
no there isn't, and i don't think i plan to add anything like that.

I don't imagine you needing an actual TLO member for this, as i don't think you actually are going to be doing something to check if something is ignored or not (like boxhud, or a Lua/macro script)

Just like every time we talk about your asks, it is more important for you to provide the circumstances that you think your solution solves than it is to provide what you think the solution is, Please try and help me help you by doing that

well i made a small macro to switch between mobs pulling utilizing /war ignore a zombie / /war unignore a tiger. but instead of having to spam the plugin to add mobs to the ignore list and check if its there then add it if it isnt. this is just an example. like i said its just a very small macro and it works yeah but instead of getting a zombie is already added message.

thx

yes but in this case its on puller tank or puller assist and not hunter. i did see this option but it was said to work on hunter only and since the ignore/mobs works global i can just set it to ignore/unignore and it will update whoever is puller assist.

That is for any pulling, not only hunter specific.

hi sic thanks for the explanation. just so that i completely understand. Say i wanted to pull just bears and ignore all Zombies and wolves would the settings look like this?

/alert add 1 noalert 2
/alert add 2 a zombie
/alert add 2 a wolf

im asuming that these settings would have to be used on the toon thats actually pulling? thanks again

should try it
since you're adding by name it would ignore "a zombie" whereas you could do "race zombie" and it would ignore anything that is race: zombie

This may already be here and if it is awesome! If this is a dumb idea, then just ignore it please lol.

I use the pull feature of MQ2war all the time and I was wondering if there could be a way to implement a preferred target. For example, in the Thorn Petal camp there are two types of mobs Thistles (Ph) and Lotus (trash), it would be awesome if we could set something to prefer the thistles to be pulled instead of Lotus. The ignore command that is already there would sort of work but if all the thistles were down your puller would no longer pull. In my case my bots still need AA exp and stopping the pulls is not preferable. I would like to be able to have the puller go for the preferred targets first and pull the rest when they are clear.

This could also be utilized in places with hunter tasks like WW. If you need Brontos the preference would be to pull them first.

Nah, we don't plan on doing this - but if you searched or checked the sticky you'd see that you can do something close to it.

Please make sure to post in the correct location, and check for already posted as this has been discussed before.

I merged the thread into the existing thread on the matter.

If you check the sticky you can see how to adjust specifics to pull by getting creative. But other than that. Nah, sorry about that.

remember to clear this if you move to a new camp / zone / need a different mob etc
otherwise you can get the headscratching problem of "why isn't my puller, pulling anything?"

/alert clear 1
/alert clear 2

I messed with the alerts a good bit over the past 2 days, and using sic's example listed above, I am using these alerts, and for some reason, when I start up hunter tank mode, he will ONLY hunt lions. he will completely ignore EVERYTHING else, except lions, even though he has wolves listed in the same list. Maybe im not understanding the logic correctly?

Can someone explain what the /alert add 1 noalert 2 command does and possibly what I may be doing wrong? Specifically the noalert 2 portion of the command.

Here is my alerts:

/alert add 1 noalert 2
/alert add 2 race lion
/alert add 2 race wolf

This for me results in only pulling lions and nothing else, even though there are wolves running around me laughing at me while I sit there waiting for target lol.

are the mobs you're looking for actually race "wolf"?

here are the docs for alert, but i don't think it will be helpful

a silvermist wolf *shrugs* I assume it is a "wolf"

I did look at the docs but it didn't really provide much help when I was messing with it. I thought someone with more experience would be able to shed some light on it.

well no, you can't just make stuff up and then pikachu face when it doesn't work :p

so I'd imagine if you added the race of the mob you're looking for to the alert, that it would start finding them

This definitely worked! Where can we look up information regarding race etc like in your screenshot? Also what is the significance of the noalert 2 command?
