Everyone needs platinum, right?

Level 105

I would take you into The Darkened Sea, possibly Brother's Island and farm TDS Rare items, Relic Fragments, and Purity of Chasity's. On my current server Purity of Chasity's are scarce, they run for 550k in /barter or 800k in /bazaar. This is my current way of farming, I bring in almost 8million plat/week.

The Darkened Sea T1 armor is still very valuable, if you are maxed AA and don't care about experience, set up at these named. Farm Castaway Bracers/Chests, and other visibles or non visibles. Chitin Stud is a big one because of the Pet EM.

Also, a great way to farm platinum at this level is going in to Rain of Fear and farming augments from named that are tradeable, as well as fear touched armor.

Level 100 - 90

Oh my favorite, a FTP team. With COTF opened up, I would highly suggest venturing in to West Karana and farming rares and other tradeskill items, however if this does not float your boat or tickle your peach.. I would venture in to The Grounds.

Below, at the RED circle, I camp there and I no longer do as I've upgraded to 105's. If you add the urchinards (spiders, however they're spelled that spawn Grrawrrrr) to the ignore list, you won't or shouldn't pull or spawn any named except for roon or shoon whose pathing is sometimes stupid. I added roon/shoon to my ignore list and hardly ever agroed them. You can set up around that dot, or you can set up across the tiny bridge there. Be careful with the ALLIGATOR that is UNDER WATER, as it can be difficult to get pulled, however my macro would set it to ignore automatically if it didn't come the first time.

The Grounds? yeah, or Morrel's Castle.

The Grounds - Set up where Chaotic Heap/Kijaemz spawn, this is a GREAT spot when you want to farm Diamonds, Random Loot, or Big Bags (20+ slot bags that you can trade). I am a big fan of The Grounds especially since it's been removed as a Hot Zone. You can easily bring in 400,000 plat/2 days here off of JUST Diamonds and Vendor Trash. Big Bag's seem to come in go, I've gotten them back to back, I've gotten several in one day and I've gotten none for four days.

The red dot is the camp with Kijamez, Cube, Chaotic Heap, Beget Kube, etc spawn.
The blue dot is the same camp as the yellow dot, the yellow dot you'll sit right in the middle of mobs. You should pull Agraena, Distraught Heap, Vile wasp and Riggbit. The blue dot I tend to only pull Agraena and Distraught Heap. Depending on your tank/pull set up one is definitely safer than the other.

Morrel's Castle - This is a great spot, you can camp just about anywhere, I prefer "Candy Land". This is great for vendor trash, experience, and Big Bag's as well. However, these monsters do hit hard, and you're going to want to be careful depending on your gear/group. The "Beach" is also swell.

Morrel's Castle drops Huntsman Ethereal Quiverhttp://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=94222 which can easily sell for 50,000 - 150,000 plat. These are much more common than Big Bags.

Level 50 - Rathe Mountains - If you're absolutely desperate for plat at your lower level, maybe you're just starting out, Hit up The Rathe Mountains and find the hill giant's, they drop 40 or so platinum most of the time each corpse, you can easily bring in 30k/day with this camp which should be plenty for your level.

Level 60 - The Hole - One of the best places around for farming platinum and experience at this level, again, at this level you shouldn't need to much platinum.

Level 70 - Dragonscale Hills (Farm) - This is where I farmed from level 65-75, this was a quiet camp on my server at the time, provided me plenty of loot from spells and such. I was able to bring in upwards of 50,000/day.

Level 85 - Popular for Heroics, I would suggest going in to lower level zones and mass farming Diamonds or Blue Diamonds. Plane of Hate, Plate of Fire, Bastion of Thunder, Crypt of Decay and Halls of Honor are great for farming these items.

The plane's zones as mentioned in the level 85 bracket are fantastic for farming Gems, or Tradeskill mats if you ever plan to max Tradeskills. I would not spend much time in these areas, unless you are setting up to be AFK for days and just want a couple extra hundred thousand platinum.

If you're a level 85, brand new heroic, or even a level 15. I would HIGHLY suggest finding a "family" oriented guild. Normally upon admittance they will give you some platinum and guide you on what you need to do. There are a TON of members on this website that will be glad to hand you over 100k or so to set you up for months. Myself included.

If you're new to the game, need some help, feel free to slide over to the Bristlebane server and send me a P/M I will be glad to give you enough platinum, guidance, or assistance so you can experience the game.

Edit: to add map supplements.

thanks Kyleo

Keep in mind that's a popular afk spot on a lot of servers (there's another guide on that spot here). It's basically perma-camped on mine, so I stay away.

Very true, many of these spots are going to be "camped". There are also spots in Neriak, Dead Hills, and Argin-Hiz. There are other spots in West Karana.

For every "prime" spot I can find at least 3 alternate spots that work for me, if someone moves near my prime spot I always have a backup plan... Less is always better then none!

don't forget to check your local bazaar and watch for people WTBing stuff in gen... I made a few million plat when I saw people buying Mysterious Belt of Daggers. So I sent a team of 5+1 to get PLed to City of Bronze and got 1 belt per day average WHILE leveling a new toon! Know your market!

Ran War,Cleric,Wiz,Wiz,Wiz and then any for PL as 99% of pulls are singles and the rare double is easy to handle for my 105 tank....

This is great advice.

Back in the day I made a good amount of money camping Anklesmashers from chardok because the proc was highly desirable, the camp took FOREVER, and the content was uber trivial and people didn't want to waste their time. So I setup one lvl 90 toon, adjusted a hunter macro, and setup the looting procedures (this was before advloot). Boom. I farmed and sold so many that I think I farmed myself out of the market and had to find another cash crop.

I recommend going to barter, adjusting the search criteria to only flag higher priced items, and then searching with a blank item name field. It'll tell you immediately what people are looking to buy (high priced single stuff, that is.... You can also make a boatload on many cheaper TS stuff that drops in droves in some areas). I mentioned my server earlier... my server also has 5-8 Druids/Rangers just sitting in the downstairs underwater area of Katta foraging afk for 24/7. Relic Fragments on my server still sell well, so they're probably feeding the buyers of those items for cash.

Lots of ways to skin the plat cat :)

Raz I'm considering trading my 105 sk for a 105 war strictly for pp and item farming etc... along with 3 wizzys 1 clr and 1 chanter. Don't know much about war and I intend on playing him till 85ish till I get the hang of him. I'm curious though as a tank do wars need to be in great gear or will castaway or something suffice for current content minus raiding?

I have all 3 Tank types and I have always loved the SK for group content and War for Raid content and Paladin for Powerleveling

SK has the best group survivability
Wariior has the best Raid Damage Mitigation
Paladin can Rez and Heal

TBM group armor + augs is way better than Castaway/Highwater. It should be very sufficient for farming the easier current content in TBM although you'd likely have a rough time in CoDecay/CoSul.

You wont want to be in current content for plat farming anyways. Go to a zone where the mobs vaporize with 3 wiz.

Dretski, isn't most of the TBM armor that's better than Castaway Prestige? I haven't looked through it all just a little of what I saw, so don't know and thus why I asked! :)

Sweet... yeah doubt I'll be in any current zones. Been toying with candy land and the beach in morrels castle.. hasn't been too bad thus far easy quick kills and not too bad coin from vendor trash.

Fast Kills + Blue Diamonds loot = over a mil a week!
