All right...been reading all the awesome stories from the forums about solo raids crews. Here's my question (other than POW drops) what are some good raids/drops to go after with 3 teams of mostly FTP 110's (Snowbound/TOV T1 Drops Non-prestige Geared)

I have 3 teams of 6, each has a cleric, enchanter, tank, and assorted dps (zerks, mages, rangers, beasties, necros) mixed in. Each crew is controlled using CTWN Plug-ins for Cleric/Enchanter/Berzerkers. Tanks are using the KA Ini's (which are rather nice) from the forums.

Appreciate all your ideas in advance.

CoTF and rof raids are doable. Depending on grp makeup misc newer raids can happen but with 18 nothing tov/cov can be done. Pofire from tbl could be done, though healing is highly needed. The frogs raid in eok could be possible also but either massive dps or kiting will be necessary. Also a raid in ros can be done but need another group for it. TDS and tbm would be hit or miss, some require alot of finess to complete but might be able to brute Force them with enough dps.

Also kiss is limited on raids, it performs badly specially for healing. The macro I use is built for raid/group content so 4 to 5 grps and can clear some tov raids and 6 groups can do cov t1 raids all use the same macro and have moved from kiss/plugins to this macro. To give a benchmark for kiss healing during raids is sub 6% of raid wide healing where as the macro I'm using can be upwords of 20% or more.

What frog raid in eok?

Great tips S...some of your recommendations are currently beyond the Free-to-Play (FTP) parameters. I'm looking for raid recommendations on EOK or earlier expansions

I listed raids from previous expansions including eok, tbm has alot of odd mechanics but t1 might be doable with a few pallies. TDS most if not all arx raids are doable. Rest in tds I'm not sure. CoTF all can be done with 18 but a few would take some scripts to get them done easier. Rof all can be done with 18 but a couple have odd mechanics that you will need to read up on to get them down. Voa can be done with 18 also but requires flagging to start the raid, proper flagging. Underfoot is a waste of time but can out dps the mechanics. Everything prior is 1 to 2 groupable except one t1 raid in HoT that requires a few tanks.

Anyone know if a 6 toon group could beet any of the eok raids? Sk brd rog bst clr mnk. All 115 max AA t3 CoV with about 40 hero vitality, fortitude etc done. Mostly just looking to zerg my way through it.

CoTF T1 has one-groupable events. I did the one where you defend the Captain of the Guard or whatever with a single group for rk 3 spells (cleric aura, iirc). That particular event was zergy and could get healing intensive, but wasn't bad. VoA tier 1 is easy, and flagging doesn't take all that much time. Once you get into T2 its a zerg-fest.... can mostly ignore mechanics and just dps. RoF is also pretty easy with one group once you read a little on the events.

Do you need to flag for TDS? I didn't bother with that before.

only the requester needs to have progression done. most require just the requester to have progression done but HoT requires toons to do the group mission in order to attend the raids for t1 only but need a key from t1 to get t2, raid requester needs all raid kills in each tier to request the next tier.

last night we tried doing CotF raids, 3 ppl running 1grp each. mix of crafted CoV and ToV group gear. we got our asses handed to us by the bzzazz encounter and the 4th gate raid with the shades. anyone got any tips and/or tricks for those encounters when boxing?

the dot-DT got us on the bzzazz encounter and the charm got us on the shade encounter.

blue cant be hit by red or you get a dt, so one tank per bee, kill one at a time 1 spilts into 2 thoise 2 split into 4 once those are dead move to the next one. on the 4 mob you need them all blue i think then kill all 4 quickly like within 30s of the first one dying. once all 3 bees are killed the boss spawns, half the raid will go blue half red, you will need to tank swap for it. 4th gate kite the shades and kill the other mobs, the shades lock on to certain people just kill all none shades then range down the shade, it has an aura that does ae dmg. once your done with the shades you fight the captain, he will randomly spear people and you will need to remove the spear from people.

Lots of raids have anti-Zerg/burn/overpower mechanics. Trying to use more power to overpower the anti-overpower mechanics can be a fruitless exercise. Finding the ‘fun’ raids is half the fun. Some of the unfun ones are really grim.

Examples of not fun raids include. TDS Arx Mentis 1, 17th Anniversary Hate’s Fury Raid, Grelleth, the Queen (Death Touch n Tank Swap)

Grell is easy, can burn it fine, can da the tank before the dt and have the tank click it off to get aggro back, it's a pseudo tanks swap

THAT is a pro-tip.

I’m actually going to try Vim and Vigor, using the balance mac, and have my second group do the add cleanups.

Wonder if I can do that !

side note, since underfoot was mentioned ( i still need to go do the final one, rest was done in era) but there are quite a few that can be done with less than a group. did shrooms with 2 people and im not sure the second person made an difference in success, more are probably doable like that too. that oen was slow as hell because it was the shroom one, fippy lost most its mechanics, any swarmer or aestunner could do badgers im sure. idk about anything in convorteum though, cant remember anything but the last one these days. but, i would say EVERFY raid in taht expac could be 1grouped or less HOWEVER theres kinda keywords in the question: FTP. to what extent FTP is my question. did anyone go over FTP aas? or is everyone stuck at ridiculously unfeasible levels? i mean gearwise its no biggie, just like saying endgame TBL, but aas are quite different story depending if every toon had a krono popped at some point to get real aas or not.

Saar...hmm that hasn't been my experience at all...in fact healing and crowd control are the best and easiest with CTWN plugins. Pull distance and crew movements (for groups without a mage) has been the sucky part. The first...just has to do with clearing speed...the crew just chews up the trash very quickly...then i have to either relocate to another spot closer to the action or have a looooooooong ass distance to get the trash to the kill box.

The CWTN healing/crowd control in my experience haven't needed any assist. I just pull with my beefiest (Group 1) tank to the kill box, the other two crews are set to assist their main tank and they're automagically picking the highest priority threat with kissassist and immediately pounce on the baddess mofo.

There have been a few instances where i've had to split targets...but i have a social key with /end and /mac kissassist tank on a tank...i'll just click end, manually set the target and that tank's crew will autoswitch target through kissassist and begin chewing on his target and clear the adds that way without distracting the main tank.

I know mileage will vary based on your group composition. I'm running:

  1. War/mage/mage/mage/enchanter/cleric
  2. SK/Bskr/Bskr/Bard/Enchanter/Cleric
  3. Pal/Ranger/ranger/ranger/enchanter/cleric
Team 1 is full COTV T3 (GRoup geared)...everyone else is krono pop...non-prestige TOV/Snowbound. Content i've been tackling is some ROS/EOK and earlier.
