well the trio is tank/heal/CC

ATM i have multiple setups using many combos My fav are listed
SK/SHM/BRD/BST/Zerk/Zerk
Paly/CLR/CHNT/Mage/Mage/Wizard
War/Shm/BRD/Rog/Rog/Bst
SK/SHM/BRD/BST/Zerk/Rog
Paly/SHM/Brd/Rang/Rang/Druid

I have all CWTN plugins and use them on those toons. On Wizard i use a KA ini i got off the library, Paly i built my own KA ini, Druid i use /rgmerc, Brd i have an INI i made(using parts of about 10 other INIs), Rang im still trying to find someting i really like, ive tried /rgmerc and KA ini so far none are doing quite what i want

I’d go SK, shaman, cleric, bard, mage, zerk.

should be well rounded and balanced for GOD to COV.

Last tlp I ran sk clr bard sham zerk zerk. Lots of healing, good dps, cc, pulling etc. this was before I started with any macros, just mq2melee with holyshit and used isboxer to control healers.

What you choose really depends on what you want to do

If you intend to raid on your zerk, and want a 6 box to support you in farming and group content? Raid geared zerk can tank group content just fine. Shm, bard, 3x DPS
Want to kill harder stuff like old raids? Then you need a plate tank and a cleric. So tank, shaman, bard, cleric, dps. You'll need to invest hard in your tank to keep them geared enough to tank better than your zerk.
Don't intend to raid at all and play the game in group gear? Plate tank and cleric will be essential. Consider getting a chanter instead of either the bard or shaman, better mez really helps a group geared team.

Since you said

> Doesn't need to be min max

Then it really doesn't matter though, play what's fun to you. I think high dps is fun and would probably pick option 1 if I had a dps main.

But the 6 boxer cookie cutter setup of tank/clr/brd/shm/dps/dps is cookie cutter for a reason, it's really good

Well said tweeb. I would add that names in gates and oow might be rough for a shammy to solo heal on a zerker tank. If you are raiding you probably are going to want a plate tank and cleric available for CoA aug farming anyway, either boxes or friends to team up with.

Just remember, zerkers are really not that great until they get their 2.0 in OOW. If you don't plan to be a high end raider, I would skip out on zerker for now and get another monk or a rogue.

Been awhile since my last tlp, how much of a boost is HHE to a dps group. Is monkx3 bard sham zerk going to parse higher than 4 monk sham bard for example. Long term I want to add 2 zerkers to my crew (24 man) I just don’t know if I should make that switch in gates or omens?

Mage mAge maGe magE enc cler ... the berzerker can sit in amazement on the bench

I was playing around with some group ideas as well. My goal will be to have a group that I can grind and exp with when I would like and thats about it. I do not enjoy boxing during raids if I can avoid it.

Is having 3-4 mages for my grinding group still really decent dps come Luclin and PoP? I know monks are amazing dps but I am after ease of use and having 3-4 pet classes makes things very simple if it will still work good.

I would argue monks are better in terms of “ease of use” than mages and will do more damage with less down time. Kissassist or similar with basic mq2melee set up and you are done.

Those mobs in GoD hit obnoxiously hard. I struggled doing the Ikkinz trials without a warrior as my tank.
