Now that healing is FIXED in Kiss for the most part I am posting this to get a discussion going on a solid basic Group Template for 105 Clerics.

General Assumptions
Cleric is Level 105
Cleric has all of their spells lv 90-105
Cleric has a good amount of AAs. Auto AA is around 9000 at 105 I think.
Has at least the basic required cleric AAs like Blessing of Resurrection, Divine Arbitration, GoM Maxed, Burst of Life etc.
We can discuss a list of must have cleric AAs as well
Cleric has a mount

After looking at all the cleric ini files posted I was wondering how people play clerics. My ini file did not resemble anything that was posted so I am rethinking how I am boxing my cleric.

I was originally doing the following
1. Hot - elixir line so the tank had a constant healing buffer
2. Promised renewal - so the BIG heal would hit later in the fight
3. Filled in lower heals with spot heals with Remedy line and Intervention
4. About to die heals. epic, AA burst line and arbitration.

After reading this article (link posted below) about Raid healing even though its older same lines of spells and some other stuff I came up with a new heal routine

Interesting break down of the spells. I took what I needed from this article and applied to a Group Environment and came to the following conclusions.

1. Don't use Light line of spells - too slow casting time compared to other spells
2. Don't use Promised line of spells - Too Random can be overwritten by other clerics not so much an issue in groups
3. Don't use Heal over Time (HoT) Elixir line - too slow casting and healing
4. Don't use Eleventh hour-Fifteenth emblem type spells - Only usable at 30% health or lower.

Ok at first I was thinking great there aren't any spells left. I was wrong. there were 3 lines of spells I never hardly looked at typical of non raider and boxing a cleric as opposed to playing one.

Some of these lines are pretty weird to me. Like the heal/nuke Intravention and the nuke/heal Contravention lines.

Quick Break Down

Main heals will be the Remedy line, Spiritual Remedy Lv 101 and Graceful Remedy Lv 96. We are using 2 because they have a 4.75s refresh time so when one is down cleric can use the other. These are very fast cast spells .5s casting and decent size heals with focus effects and AAs added in. I am assigning to the tank at 80% and everyone else at 70%.

Promised Line Only if you have The Broken Mirror Expansion the AA Promised Interposition
The Promised Interposition lv1-3 is a passive AA on your cleric, TBM only that will proc a 5000,8000, or 10000 hp heal when the tank takes more than 15k in damage. I am setting this for Tank only, no one else should be getting damaged. I am setting it at 98% so its the first heal at the beggining of the fight to take advantage of the heal procs.

Secondary will be the Renewal line, Fervid Renewal lv 105 and Fraught Renewal lv 100. We are using 2 because they have a 30s refresh time so when one is down cleric can use the other. These are pretty fast cast spells 1.8s with focus effects and decent size heals with focus effects plus AAs added in. Bonus they cure disease, poison and curse counters. I am using these in the mid health range of 50-60% because of their refresh time they will usually only be available once per mob fight. I am letting these heal everyone who ever needs it the most.

Third will be the They are about to die Heals. These are AAs and Items Burst of Life, Divine Arbitration, Harmony of the Soul etc. I am using al of these at 30% and I am assigning Burst of Life to the tank so I know the is a reserved OMG heal for them. The others can heal who ever needs it including the tank.

Group Heal is Word of Greater Reformation. This is just a BIG dumb group heal. I assigned to 70% group health BUT I also assign it to Gift of Mana and it procs all the time. GoM and a fast casting time with focus effects and AAs its a free group that crits as well for like 70k.

DPS will be the Contravention line, Mystical Intervention lv 103 and Virtuous Intervention lv 98. We are using 2 because they have a 30s refresh time so when one is down cleric can use the other. These are pretty fast cast spells 1.5s Added to DPS section for some DPS by cleric and some extra healing.

Healing and combat buffs I am using on the tank
Divine Indemnification - Full heal on death of tank. What just happened I missed it, OMG the tank is still alive spell. Uses 2 emerald meh
Olsif's Retort - Procs a small heal and a reverse damage shield
Shining Bulwark - Mitigate Melee Damage by 10% and Stun/Heal proc

Was gaining random major aggro on cleric from super crits fueled by chanter proc and dying. Realized what was happening after supertimmys post.

Added Contravention Line of nuke/heals to DPS - Maskoi 2/15/2016
Testing Contravention in DPS to help compensate removing intervention line form heals. Removed Judgment in from DPS favor of nuke/heals.

Removed Contravention Line of nuke/heals to DPS and replaced with Intervention Line of heal/nukes - Maskoi 2/20/2016
Contravention can be resisted preventing healing since it targets the mob. Intervention line targets MA so they get healed regardless.

Adjusted GoM section so Group HoT was 1st then normal Group heal - Maskoi 2/20/2016
Gom procs a lot so Elixir of the Seas HoT is up constantly on the entire group with Word of Greater Reformation as second for additional free group healing.

Took out Quiet Miracle due to 20 minute timer, now requires 30k mana and shares same time as Veturika's Perseverance Maskoi 10/08/2017 - Chanticleer
Replaced group heal Word of Greater Reformation with Syllable of Convalescence due to trigger the cleric synergy - hellfyre
Took out Rallied Ward of Vie. It was getting sucked up to much on MA and caused constantly recasting.
Added Purify Soul to Cures - Chanticleer
Removed |MA from Fifteenth Emblem|25 to help group members survive since Burst of Life is already reserved for MA.
Turned off DPS because Vicarum's Retort was sucking up Spell Gem needed by Undying Life.
Added Undying Life|55|MA to heals

There was a pretty significant change to clerics with the TBM. The promised line now essentially procs heals on the tank if the cleric has the new AA. Noob has this coded into his autocleric mac and I think you should consider keeping it in your rotation. Not for the big heal at the end, but for the constant little healing procs.

I like the Promised Line but I am not familiar with the AA. What is the AA name. I am not even sure I have it.

Once again my ignorance of boxing a cleric vs playing one but thats what this is all about educating me and others about clerics in a group scenario.

In the buffs you should also have Veturika's Perseverance|mana|## it's self only quiet miracle with COTF expansion I think.

I also don't like you using a contravention spell at 40, if it's resisted by the mob you don't get a passthrough heal. I would instead use Virtuous Intervention, It's base heal is still 14k and doesn't share a timer with mystical and ardent contravention's base heal is actually smaller than virtuous intervention. Contraventions also use more mana than their intervention counterparts

I think two inis is pretty essential now. Nice that you setup a thread to talk about this though. I have used a number of peoples clr inis and they are all so different...
I suppose I could manage this with a holy, but I've been lazy and haven't gotten to it.

I would also be curious to see what holys/downs folks are using with their clerics.

To be honest we should do one class a week like this for awhile. The recent monk post really created a pretty awesome monk ini after some community feedback (IE 35-45k sustained dps).

I don't want any holy/downshits being listed. This is strictly about Kiss. If its a normal thing a cleric should be doing then Kiss should be able able to do it.

Oh and there's one thing that maybe you can get the cure section to do that I currently use a holy for this is kind of a feature request.

When my tank gets mezzed I have a holy that if my current target gets mezzed my cleric uses radiant cure because the remove det works on mez.

I have too many boxes to do any one very well and have never looked at my cleric as anything other than support for the class I actually like playing in Everquest. All my cleric bot does for healing is basically;

Highest remedy
Second highest remedy
Highest renewal
Second highest renewal
Highest light

Mostly, he's casting remedies and I think I have those set to go at 92% because of cleric aura, otherwise it'd be 99%. It's only 9300ish heal before crit, but it cast in .5s and recovers in 4.75s so my cleric is spamming remedies, some renewals and the occasional light and my tank usually stays north of 80% or only dips below for a second.

Now I have two clerics and want to have the second cleric use big slow casting heals and promised heals, but still working on it or will probably not get around to it because I have a habit of being happy with good enough. No doubt all my bots INI's have a lot of room for improvements, but it's been good enough for everything I do so far.

One other feedback, you may want to limit the classes for intervention. For example, enchanter hitting threshold for the heal while having a mezd mob targeted would break your mez from the nuke.

NO too much effort to check target of target bullshit. KISS=Keep It Simple Stupid I would just hard card if intervention line for bard or chanter skip this heal if more than one target on xtarget.

Any idea why Beacon of Life at 85%? its AA emergency group heal, i would consider it below 50% but i could be wrong.

The two things:

Heals10=Divine Arbitration|30
Heals11=Harmony of the Soul|30

AA and epic group HP balancing, i'm not sure if this has been fixed but it can be deadly for a PLing group with a 105 tank and low 70ies toons being PLed.
 
I did not know there was an upgrade to Circle of Divinity thanks

Beacon of life has a 3 min reuse timer so putting it a higher level not that big a deal to me since word of greater reformation GoM procs all the time and crits for 70k as well.

This is mainly for a 105 group in current content. Pling lv 70's up to you to adjust your ini file.
 
heh well , long as no one dies, it's all good hoss!

I was just recently getting my cleric his TBM spells and noticed a new one called Anticipated Intercession. I have not yet really tried it out, but the spell description looked neat. Maybe someone else has played around with it to see if it is worthwhile considering. While KA is more group oriented... this kinda caught my eye as a potential "might save the tank from a deadly DPS intake spike" kinda thing.

"Places a ward upon your target that will heal them if they absorb a melee strike larger than 22500 hit points.
Heals you for up to 32719 hit points. Will heal for up to 6545 additional hit points if you are below 20 percent health."

"Anticipated Interposition is very tough to place and would vary from character to character that it’s cast upon. It’s average heal is tremendously different between a warrior or a knight, and dependent on what AA they have, since it’s 31,161hp base heal acts as if it comes from them, and only is focused/crits if that person has AA that allow it to. On a paladin, this heal proc would be almost twice as good as a Fraught Renewal. On a war, who only has a 15% chance to crit this spell, and zero focus to heals, it’s worse than Reverent Light except that it can proc between hits in a melee round. IE – If a war were to have A.I. on, and were to take a quad round of 20k, 40k, 40k, 40k, instead of actually taking 140k damage, they would take 20k, 40k (then AI fires, with a 31k base heal), 40k, 40k, taking only 109k(80k if AI crits) damage that round instead. This is why a designated cleric spamming AI on the MT during the very hard hitters can be beneficial, so they have less chance of getting dead in a single bad round."

With out more personal testing or comment from folks actually using it... ==shrugs== but, thought it worth mentioning for your consideration. Possibly put a toggle on it to test it out with your other stuff?
 
From what I read that spell was just too unpredictable to be useful. I am really looking for consistency but feel free to experiment and report back.
 
i do use the intervention line and keep the 2 highest my lvl 100 cleric has loaded, however i do not run them as a heal, i use them over in the DPS section as her contribution to that side of things.

primarily my group is still banging around in RoF zones until i can budget TBM for the rest of my main group

Of course, using the healnukes or the nukeheals raises the question about sympathetic strikes. Does offensive sympathetics only work on nukeheals and vice versa?
 
in raids i use interventions like a boss. i love them. so fast. in xp groups, when i'm botting cle, never. because it's only a matter of time until i pull a big train, the cle casts an intervention, the nuke portion crits and then the mob starts summoning. murphy's law.

Thats an interesting observation. Since switching to the new ini my cleric has died a lot more than before. I was chalking it up to healing aggro on incoming. I will watch this much closer non summoning mobs but drawing heavy aggro and getting killed instantly.

What is your normal group heal spell setup?

this is what I use , and with undying having a long recast timer I have my stuff set dps=2 intervals 2 and skip 1 and I have 0 issue healing period
 
These are the problem though. Its causing mobs to aggro the cleric because of the nuke half.

I am going to move them out of heals and replace them in dps with contravention line see how well it heals with just renewal and Remedy line and an occasional heal nuke from dps.

I set them based off my needs normally box cleric in raids with aes and all going off , group heal logic for kiss even with epic at 65 still dont go off till like 58% reason i have divine arb 50 its firing around 46ish % so it gives me double security i seriously can pull the 60 ac aug camp and the em18 ear in sul camp without issues

Althou if your having heal aggro issues , i would try placing a remedy and renewal before your interventions but with new intervintion heal timer reduce aa they are still one of best heals in game , most raid mobs will resist the little nuke anyway , even most tds named all i can say is if your having heal aggro issues make sk aggro harder ��
 
The problem with Intervention line (and sometimes other heals) comes when your heal set is high and puller comes back to the group...hack into the range of your clerics Auras.
Puller gets a "max hp" boost, causing the cleric to heal. Intervention causes damage, mob summons cleric .....

I like Intervention line in Dps

I set a group HoT up as an Aura (I do it on my Shaman, but should work with Cleric too). It will recast when it drops. This doesn't necessarily help the tank but can make less healing on rest of group.
Helps offset repste, DS, AE effects on melees, pets, group.
Can also be used as a combat buff if preferred, Id just set it with a |once tag.
 
Removed Contravention Line of nuke/heals to DPS and replaced with Intervention Line of heal/nukes - Maskoi 2/20/2016
Contravention can be resisted preventing healing since it targets the mob. Intervention line targets MA so they get healed regardless.

Adjusted GoM section so Group HoT was 1st then normal Group heal Maskoi 2/20/2016
Gom procs a lot so Elixir of the Seas HoT is up constantly on the entire group with Word of Greater Reformation as second for additional free group healing.

You're high as fuck if you're not using Shining Bulwark and Anticipated Intercession and Promised Rehabilitation, imo... My cleric just sits there 50% of the time due to not needing to do anything.
Ardent Acquittal is not recognized as a spell or something... never works... It's Elixir of the Seas, except with an awesome Group Cure package with it...
Focused Celestial Regen is a free, instant cast, baddass HoT for the tank.
I use Word of Reformation instead of Word of Greater Reformation due to having lower level raid boots... shaves like .5 off the cast time.
Heal values start at 78 because of frikin zerkers and the debuff in Crypt of Sul and Ruins of Lx...
And I dunno who it was that posted an INI up there that uses a fuckiing intervention at 100 and contravention... but you'd get punched in the face in my group if you tried to heal me with that at 100 and I happen to have a mob targeted... and got chain summoned while running back to the group... just sayin... :)

The Contravention line is a NUKE that also throws a Heal... it does NOT throw the heal if the nuke is resisted... that's the one that should be in the DPS section... <--- Uses chanter Chromatic procs... imo...

I use Ardent Acquiltal for a group HoT because I have the AA that has a chance to throw a 15 to 30k heal whenever I attempt to cure someone. So it's like a group cure + small group heal + a big heal over time all in one.

in Kiss 8.5.5 you can /writespells and they be written to the bottom your ini file

11 is the swap slot but usually has Anticipated Intercession in it.
To force him to rebuff Group Surety, click off his spell haste
With Sanctified Blessing AA it throws an extra heal almost every time to cast a spell with a cure component
With Tunare's Grace it throws an extra heal every time you cast a heal spell
With Vehement Recompense it throws an extra heal every time you cast a damage spell

I have the heal values set low cause I was in Crypt of Sul and Ruins of Lx where your health is at like 80% max
 
What about AA abilities like Smite the Wicked and Turn undead? Both of them quite potent on undead and reusable every 2-5 minutes once the appropriate lines are maxed out.
