Although this and other macros I write are not exclusively for use by RedGuides,
I am authorizing its use for the community.
(This and other macros I write may be available at "other" MQ2 sites).
This macro has been tested using the most recent RedGuides MQ2 compile.
This macro and all others I submit for the community will be fully supported by myself
(as long as you have not altered the code for it).
Changing user specific (non global) declares is permissible.
This macro is for use when doing the 12th anniversay quest for the Glowing Lena Fete Rune. With all the new Heroic Characters on the servers and EQ anniversary events going on, thought this would come in handy.
- Solo Task: Hunt of the Shards
-- Starting NPC: Seeker Nerattan (roams around the vendor house in Sunrise Hills)
--- Reward: Glowing Lena Fete Rune
What is it?
This macro will attempt to locate the quest groundspawn items and walk you to each/pick them up and auto-inventory them. It does not use any warping.
Instructions:
Due to the fact that the groundspawns are in the neighborhood instance zones, and there are twisting paths/mountains in the zone . . . you should go to the middle of a particular neighborhood's "block" and run the macro.
Pay attention to if your toon tries to go to another "block" by heading straight for the mountain that seperates them. If this happens, end the macro, walk to a new "block" and restart it.
It has a GM and near pc check so as to not be noticable.
Problems or issues:
Please post them here and do not send me PM's.
If you have an issue. . . then sombebody else might as well.
I wish to provide support and help for the community as a whole, and not one-on-one support via PM's (I'll charge you for that! - lol).
UPDATE:
Added separate version to use MQ2Navigate.
UPDATE:
Have fine tuned the macros.
You now have a choice to either use the Moveutils one or the Navigate one.
If you DO NOT have a Mq2MoveUtils.ini, then use the included one. The default movement distance for Mq2MoveUtils without a predefined stop distance is 10 ... this will make you always stop before the distance to pick up the item!
download the .ini to your RedGuides Vanilla Compile directory... unload/reload mq2moveutils.
The Navigation one works flawlessly now...
UPDATE:
Neighborhood.bin file uploaded to server. Please unzip the MQ2Navigation folder from the MQ2Navigation.zip file to your RedGuides Vanilla Compile install directory.
