Config - 100 Enchanter + Shits - Melt faces, mez like a champ, debuff named like a boss!

Really worked this over this week. The downshits really hit bosses hard. I've found some of the bosses I'm fighting can take over a minute to fight so I have the downshit burnage work the named throughout the fight instead of one quick dump. Let me know what you think.

I don't have a chanter, but some tomes play the one my friend has. So question, why do you all use spell mez instead of the AA mez? I know there has to be a reason!
 
I guess it's just preference. I was never sure if the beam would hit if I wasn't facing correctly. I assume you are talking about AA Beam of Slumber right?

The aa mez, beam of slumber is situational, it has a very short duration and has a big timer on it.
 
Maskoi I've meant to ask you if you can add a PBAEMez routine to kiss. Basically I want the single mez for 2 or less, targeted for 3-6 and the pbae mez for 7 + Basically what I want is for kiss to just use the pbae mez until you're under 8 adds. I've kept 30+ mobs locked down with it. I guess it wouldn't be used by many since not everyone pulls 5-10 at a time. Also can you make it so it will recast auras in combat ?

I wouldn't even no where to start with that. the entire macro is based on 10 adds. You can set all your ae mez features to activate with how many mobs in camp. as far as pbae try it in the AE section see if works

i might ad a |# tag to the single mez spell so you tell it when to start/stop but I don't have any plans to try and jam pbae mez in to the existing routine. :/

It seems like it would be simple.

if #mobs<3 cast single mez
if #mobs >3 but <6 cast aemez
if #mobs >6 cast PBaemz

obviously more complicated but it would never cast single mez or aemez if you have >5 mobs near you just PBaemez and it would recheck this everytime it cast mez so that when you get under that amount it starts single mez routine.

It's not really a big deal i just do /mac skillcast pbaemezspell whenever i pull 10 + anyway.
 
Changed the mez section on this. I had some weird problems with my AoE mez going off (Slackening wave) on one mob even when I have it setup to not fire unless their are three mobs present i.e. MezAESpell=Slackening Wave|3. This slows down my mezzing quite a bit and my Bard puller takes the brunt of it.

I've since switched to this instead (updated above).

I've been running "Into the Hills" Heroic Adventure over and over afk (using the meaty bard code snippet) and mobs are insta-mezzed. It casts Disorientation which has a 1.1 second cast time and possible slowing effect, then drops the longer cast time AoE Slackening Wave (2.0 seconds with AA's and gear) to keep them mezzed.

I can't believe how well it's been working. I haven't had more than 3 mob pulls here so I'm not sure how well it will work with larger pulls though, I'll test it more as time goes by and update this post accordingly.
 
I am setting up my 100 chanter now but I need some help with spellgems, I see 9 dps spells, 2 mez spells and 13 or so buffs, can someone guide me on what they use for their spell gems for this awesome ini
for now I put the 2 mez in 1 and 2 and then the dps in 3-7 leave 8 blank as it will get swapped out non stop for buffs and then 9-12 get the rest of the dps ones, seems a bit wierd

*I keep the pet spell memed because for some reason if you don't have it memed, KA always overwrites gem slot 5 to cast the pet.

Also, I was slowing using a spell, but PussyFoot (who has the best chanter I've seen) says that Dreary Deeds (AA) + Demolished Consciousness = Better slow

Now that I've been playing an enchanter as a semi-main I've changed a few things in how I play and how I keep my spells up. I don't afk much with the chanter, but here is my spell line up at 100:

Confound (mez single)
Impose (charm)
Enunciation of Tash
Demolished Con. (lowers dex, agi, ac, and strength)
Mind Squall (DoT that returns mana)
Mindcleave
Phantasmal Assault
slackening Wave (AE Mez)
Mana reverb Aura
Ward of the mastermind (stuns the mob when you get hit)
Phantasmal Unity (runes)
Buff slot but sometimes keep Greater Fetter (root) here for soloing.

I tend to manually pull mobs to my mage and let the pet tank them. :)
 
Not sure why everyone seems to be using Confound instead of Chaotic Confounding.

Chaotic Confounding is the same thing, except that it adds a 100% chance to Twincast your next nukes.
