I've been on Ascendant for about three weeks now, & so far it's been a blast. With only boxing three characters, the experience feels much smoother, though your mileage may vary depending on your setup. Current setup is SHD, SHM, MAG level 35ish, clearing mobs around level 45-46. One thing...

These are all great lol, love it. Messed around a bit, Ai can be quite interesting.

Currently using e3, it's pretty straight forward. It'll take time to config each character but once you get the hang of it, you'll start hacking & slashing in no time!
