I've been moping around for a month thinking that they would nerf Hides you seek before I could get in.. Tried Spies like Them several times without success to allow me to get Hides.

Today, I just walked up to Gimblecranz in CC and said "Gather Some Skins".

Lo and Behold he gave me the mission. 10 minutes of warping around and you get a 200 hp mana Mask for melee and a 200 hp mana belt for caster on hard.

On normal you get a 65 mana end aug for casters and a 65 hp aug for melee...

All cursor drops so don't even have to bring the folks with you.

So anyway.. just say "Gather some Skins" to Gimlecranz in Corathus Creep and you will get the mission. You do NOT have to do Spies like them as was stated on another thread. :)

What's the lowdown on this mission? Is it a solo one?
Standard 3 man minimum but it's no-kill. Just need a FD class to actually run it, MQ2Warp or equiv and the macro found here somewhere

Don't need an FD class.. I did it 7 times with my Druid :)

Just need fast fingers.

Never tried this as i am still at work. It sounds like you might have to pick stuff up of the ground or out of chests, so will Mqgank or whatever it will work with this task? Oh, also any idea as to what kind of xp you get for this, would be awesome if you could farm AA's off of this.

The instance is the same entrance as 69.1 (The cave in Stoneroot). Just zone in, look on the map for any arrows that have no names.. Those are the chests although they don't even have a name when you click on them.

If you do not use the macro (Like me) just have a hotbutton for open and one for loot. I warp to the chest and hit open, /warp succor, /fade. Look on the map at the spot where the chest was and see if it is now a corpse. If it is still there, con it and see if it is going to be there for about 30 minutes. If so, it has "something" in it. Warp to it and loot whatever is in it, /warp succor, /fade.

There is one hide in the each of the buildings up on the top floor. Sometimes you will get a malachite or peridot in the chest instead of the hide.

Once you have both hides, you can invis and warp to the top level again. Sometimes you have to slowly walk around the entire top floor of both to get the last exploring update. I wasn't too worried about finding the exact locs that needed to be touched since I knew I was only doing it a few times.

Really the hardest part for me was finding the area that triggered the update for exploring (That and running into anything that saw invis). I died once or twice per mission usually but just ran back and /sumcorpse, loot and keep trying. After the mission I just sumoned bodies to guild lobby for rez.

Oh yah, I forgot it was this one. I kinda avoided it cos I dont have FD or any DA.

you can do it w/o the mac if you are non FD/DA, just use the locations to update, then manually find and target the chests. /warp,/open/succor. /warp/loot/succor.......you may take a few hits, but it can be done.

Yeah.. sometimes I made it through without a death, others 1 or 2 deaths. With the lock out timer it didn't really matter in my case because I wanted to get the hard and normal rewards for all my characters in one sitting.

The important thing I wanted to get across was that you don't have to do Gimblecranz's first mission to do this one. That's what had me so bummed out about this mission since it was first talked about last month.
