Request - WTB: Working Macro/Script for CoTF1 raid, paying over 4 figures.

I met someone years ago that had working macros/scripts (whatever you would call it) that ran the raids perfectly.
He put all his guys at the start of the zone, turned it on, they all buffed up and it went to town and was able to clear the full raid with very minimal if any wipes.
This was back when Arx was the current tier gear so I assume with the 40 geared toons I have now doing CoTF1 (and 2 if someone has and wants to sell it) would be cake.

Anyways I'm willing to debate a price, happy to pay WELL over $1,000 for a quality working product.

I'm not looking to get into selling plat or step on anyone's market it's all for personal use. Eventually I want to get 150-200ish characters fully CoTF1 geared and continue to make and PL more toons until I have 300-400 of them.

Honestly that raid is pretty easily 1 groupable now so shouldnt take too much work

*if* and I mean it's a really big *if* someone ever made a macro like this it would be HIGHLY specific to them. Meaning it's not something you could really sell or let other people use. There's some raids that require specific classes doing specific tasks in CoTF, Bixie 1 for example you'll need certain class archetypes for drum clickies. Wk2 would require specific classes to kite, Bixie 2 would need very well geared tanks + very well coded macros just for them (shit 10x better than auto warrior and kissassist).

If there are macros out there that can box raids they'd most likely solely work for that one person and their current setup. If they ever decided to sell that macro - you'd have to copy their EXACT SETUP to make it work.


I'll be the one guy that says I think you were bamboozled. And if you weren't lied to, anyone who does have a macro that good that can run raids won't be able to share it with strangers even if they wanted to.

Sorry to everyone who PMed me, I was actually rear-ended yesterday while sitting at a light. Thank you Chicago drivers you are the best and even make the most mundane of days exciting! I walked into this kids house once, walked into his computer room where he had a few PCs set up, he proceeded to sit down and type in a few things and the computers and characters on them started moving, I watched them myself start clearing the raid as he sat there, ignored it and was talking to me.

He has sold hundreds of millions of plat and thousands and thousands of dollars in items. He gives items to people at first and then if you go to buy something from him again thinking he's trustworthy he doesn't give you the items. I know he cleared CoTF / CoTF 2 / the previous raids (gelid,silvershade, clickies and such) and Arx every week and had loads of things for sale. I personally saw at least 20 traders 100% full of Arx loot and unless it was all a big "show" he was actually using whatever script to run it. Most of that $3,500 that was taken was for "the script" . Later on it was explained I was given "HALF" of the script, it was chopped up to boot and I would need the rest to run it properly.

I believe I still have that half script that he was using and am happy to post it here to show you an idea of what was coded. I watched the computers clear 2 bosses before I left his house and I know (and from other people who are users and code their own stuff that know him / play with him and lived with him briefly that he is a legit semi-genius when it comes to doing MQ2 stuff but sadly also a zonked out, rude, ignorant, drug addict.) that he was indeed was using a script that he wrote himself. I also poked around and saw all the characters in the raid clear stuff actually logged in on the various PCs so it wasn't like he was in a raid or something it was all going on in real time, I took my laptop there so I could login and be given some things.


Anyways that drama aside, if I could find someone to write that very specific script based on my characters and such... I would be very much interested. I have a general idea of how much time, dedication and fine tuning it would take hence why i'm offering to pay thousands of dollars. I've had some people send me PMs saying they have wanted to do something like this but it has been more "hopes and dreams" type stuff then anyone actually telling me they could 100% do it. I'm looking for someone who can tell me it's going to take X amount of time and I need Y amount of money or I charge Z per hour and it could take anywhere from 1-8 weeks.

Or partly did it himself. The guy in the OP is asking for a macro that does the whole raid for you, you're forgetting option 3 where the person boxing the raid just plays the characters himself and downs it without the use of a macro he created.

you are my hero. i'm not being sarcastic. i too love building my stable of toons. not on your scale, but i applaud your ambition.

Also it's not that it's easy now and you can 1 group it, it's that I want to be able to run the raid on multiple computers so maybe a total of 150 characters logged in over 5-6 computers all running different instances of the raid so I end up with a hundred or so items and load of currency each week. I understand the risks of doing this and already have various security options to make sure I don't get nabbed.

I simply don't have the time to run that many raids and don't WANT to spend my time running that many raids.

I know exactly who it is you're talking about and I totally believe that he has a script that downs *some* these raids.. I raided with him on FV before, not boxed with him but in guilds. I have boxed on FV as well, during the same era he ran those raids... I did those raids as well without a script.

The person you're talking about lies and exaggerates a lot. If you've actually met him and his roomate irl you know exactly what i am talking about. You can't have a simple conversation with him without him talking about how awesome he is and how much money he makes off the game.

Any "script" he has is most likely outdated and broken since he doesn't do those raids anymore and MQ2 core has gotten multiple overhauls since then. Also, any script he did have to begin with and whatever you saw was set up specifically to impress you in that moment. Likely what you saw is all the script could do - the rest of the raids he downed with a partner that did more of the work than he did. That partner was a member of ROI and has quit the game in the last year which is why you don't see this same guy downing raids anymore and he's selling PLs in general.


He really aint no MQ2 genius or even that good at the game otherwise he'd still be downing these raids without his partner.

It was an exploit to lower all the mobs in the instance to level 75 or lower if you really wanted to. Yet they still dropped the raid gear for 105. After that was fixed only a few people could still do them legit (4-5) groups. Its not worth doing anymore though.

There was no raid macro per say. You ran normal macros/plugins on the 30 or so toons and played the tank/s . Almost everything can be accounted for in EQ using mq2 if you know what you're doing emotes, cures etc.

Thank you sir, i'll have to wait and see how this turns out but if I have to go outside of the RG community and find a professional, perhaps someone who coded part of my fathers medical company / program as long as it's ok with the people of power at RG's I will at some point in the next several months get a one button and done type raid setup going. I've always wanted to have something like this but obviously as a little kid in the basement I didn't have thousands of dollars to hire someone to build my dream for me, heh.

It would be sweet if someone could get it to the point where you can somehow edit the number of say wizards or rogues you're using, like a "main options" of the raid type thing so I could build different raids but for now i'd be happy just getting the ideal number of classes and gear several raid groups of them over and over.

The easiest way to do this is use a macro for your group/raid and control the tank. Given that the raid has a 5 day lockout wouldn't it just be easier that way ?

On a personal level... maybe this is a but inappropriate for the forum but when I walked in the house it was full of garbage, obviously smelled, just random things everywhere like a frat house after a football weekend party. Clearly there is nothing "awesome" about how much money he makes off the game. It obviously isn't much beside the point that bringing up your personal financial situation at all let alone boasting about it is rather poor taste. Oh well, he is who he is, the money is gone I briefly spoke to legal council about dealing with him but in the end it would have taken more time and energy then I wanted, even calling the police would have been pointless.


I know he was never great at the game, I was under the impression that he was the one who wrote the code. I didn't know "the roommate who shall not be mentioned either *cough* Kain and Able made a really good story in the bible *cough* " was the one who wrote most of the stuff / did most of the work. I thought HE was the "side piece". I know he raided in RoI I BRIEFLY raided with them at the end of my last EQ stint. Interesting to know it wasn't actually him though.... I guess someone who spends their life lying at some point would become good at manipulating people. Also good to know the person who is "PLing people" is him and to stay clear of anything going on with him. I thought maybe he quit the game (but then he couldn't pay his bills?).

Anyways, I just realized this could all be done in PMs at this point no reason to beat a dead horse.



Maybe i'll get a bite on here even if it ends up costing more then it's maybe worth it's just something I really want.
With the situation on FV 95, 100, 105 (once 110 is the cap) gear will always be useful in some way or another and while i'm doing this for personal reasons if I ever wanted to trade up gear for my boxs i'd still be able to sell it in the Baz. I would just never flood the server like it was being done before.

I'm confused.


How do I place all of my characters inside of a raid zone, press one (or a few) buttons, walk out my front door and come back after I read a book at Starbucks lets say or go scuba diving and find that my characters across multiple computers have all cleared multiple raid lockouts?

To clarify his roommate isn't the person who carries the raids - his roommate is just someone who plays 1 char in EQ and raids with him in Valhallah/Prosperiatas or whatever the top guild on FV is now. Cute that you made reference to the kain and able story, I used to call him Kainmakro-quest which if you know him is another tongue in cheek way of using his name.

The RoI guy was some rich kid that lived in Cali and outside of boxing didn't have much affiliation with Kain anb Able. If anyone wrote the macro he probably did as he apparently had a big part in initially authoring Zbot

If your wondering.... I was the one that was doing Hate raid on Drinal. I was doing the raid before the exploit even came out and I still continue to do it after its been fixed doing it legit. It's not hard when you have macros setup to handle all the logistics with the raid.

*EDITE* I couldn't think of some metaphor or something to explain why I'm trying so hard to do this but.... it's just my thing.

I wanted to get something made a particular way, I appreciate any and all comments on this as any input is useful in some way or another but actually as it stands now I've found someone (outside of the direct RG community) who wants to take on the project and is fully confident in his abilities I guess they are installing EQ and opening an account here to look things over and see what would be realistic as far as my checklist of things I'd love to be able to do. I'm excited that the possibility is still there.

Also lets say doing it myself takes an hour. Running, setting things up and clearing. Multiply that by 5,10,15 raids and no I don't have that much time to do it. Gear is whatever, if I wanted to do this for gear I'd just buy up all the characters and plat and so forth and gear my toons. I did that at one point and had fun with it but my interest in messing around with other things now within the game have shifted and I had this idea of EXACTLLY what I would like to be able to do with the now massive horde of toons I have. It's not just a one and done press button to win I have some other things I wanted made also.



Anyways congrats on the Drinal thing, that's cool that you're easily able to clear Hate.
