Question - Which macros do you use?

Hey folks.

I'm leveling up a crew on one of the new servers, and I'm curious what macros you're all using?

I use kissassist on my Mage and my Monk, and it seems to work very well (other than the mage unnecessarily burning a ton of mana on low con mobs and always immediately recasting nukes on reds, leading to intense aggro), but my shaman hasn't worked as well. Since I'm pulling and tanking with a monk, he's not often in the group for longer than a few seconds between pulls, and the buffs always end up falling off and not being recast.

I've tried the shambot, but that seems better configured for modern EQ's abilitites. It slows and debuffs, but seems to get caught up in canni and wont keep my buffs up.

ps. despite my name, I'm never afk. I'm not one of those folks, it's just the alias I picked decades ago at the MQ2 forums.

perhaps use chain pulling to set a downtime. This will allow your shaman time to recast any missing buffs at that point. Alternatively I have a hotbutton to send an EQBC command making the shaman buff me since I play the puller manually much of the time.

Ive had a few shamans that ive leveled. Ive used Shambot and a couple other macros. Shambot was nice but with the fine tuning of kissassist I love it for my shaman. Post your shamans ini and we can look it over to see if there is something you can do.

As no_one stated above, use EQBC and just buff your monk through that if its missed. you can also increase the buff check so it check more frequently.

I've been using MQ2Bot recently (not a macro, but serves this purpose), but it doesn't seem to have the best auto-buffing support (I get a delay between buffs falling and re-applying), but it is incredibly simple to use. You can also set up macros to have your shaman buff over eqbc, but I haven't tried that yet.

99% of the time I use Kissassist cause... it works!

After: Modbot (Wiz/Enc) + Kissassist (Pull/Tank)

Haven't used either since the new loot system. I'll give it a run tonight if I can. Modbot is probably broken for now... I'll check the MQ2 forums.
