Some friends of mine came back to the game after a good long vacation, to find that they needed to collect Griffon Eggs in order to be able to ride the Griffons in Thundering Steppes.
Underequipped and a little rusty to boot, they weren't having a fun time of trying to run around looking for eggs. We grouped a level 52 with them, (not mentored down) and this greyed our most of the mobs, and allowed them to run through most of the zone unhindered.
It would work even better to have someone even higher level. Most mobs are below level 27 in the Griffon Area, (with the exception of some of the mightys) are so far over by the Giants, you wouldn't usually see them. Unless you're a curious newbie, like my friend Steve.
Anyway...
For gathering and cataloguing quests, try this out if you have alts who need quests to be done in a pronto fashion, and you have a friend who is higher leveled and bored. It really works quite nicely.
