Guide - When One Door Closes - NoS Mission - SicVid

Really hate the idea of 50 different guide posts for the missions this year, but I do mission vids every year and planned my week around doing so again this year.
1 of the missions has been missing.
So far they are all pretty easy and appear to be things that won't make too many challenges for folks.
It is possible that they get updated because of bugs - but looks like a lot of ez missions this year.

> EQ Resource has a write-up <

1. Walk in/start
2. Burn
2b. maybe move out of rumble
3. Loot

I'll put my "Zlandicar Who?" post right here.

[Sic]

they might as well just leave the door open. this mission lul

[Birdman]

Good mission - if healer good don't even have to move out of aura just burn it down - Most groups should have it dead within 35-65seconds so as long as group heals are solid or SK epic running your safe, Face healer away to avoid stun OR any casters within team FACE AWAY

[Grpsmashin]

Nice! I have a feeling they will change this to make it harder lol

What flags are needed to get this mission, pls?

none, just say the request phrase.

it is confusing because if you hail they tell you to piss off

lol, thank you. That worked.

I had the evolving cloak drop on this mission today. A good reason to do this mission over and over

This might change in next patch, i just hope not.

For the no poke acheiv you can pull the blob up on the platform and kill it.

I tried to do the /ctwn dashaa and ctwna dashaa its telling me in the regualer eq window its not a valid command any clue what the issue may be ? I just put it in a format of bcga noparse but still would like to know how ctwna works and why its not .

you need the /cwtn aliases made, and you need to be sure that you are up to date
if the regular eq window says it isn't a valid command, then you haven't created the aliases

Please see >>> Getting Started with CWTN plugins! (Movement, UI Window, Clickies, Pulling, ETC) Check Here First! <<<

You will need to create the /cwtn aliases per Sic's video and instructions for this to work.

No Poke achievement - no cheese strat
"Do not let anyone get hit by burrowing spikes"

Here's my tips for this. DPS it slow and don't have anybody stacked. If you DPS it fast the spikes emote/aura will overlap with stuns, and it can be nearly impossible to run away. Place your non-tank tunes in the 4 corners and ranged it, face casters into corner so they don't get stunned.
Don't forget with the non-burn approach you're going to get dervish add pops.

One time setup stuff

notification event to help you alt-tab and move toons. I just put this in my tanks's ini
mq2events.ini

[NOS-door-runaway]
trigger=#*#The floor shakes as things move underground near #1#.#*#
command=/multiline ; /beep ; /dga /popup MOVE ${EventArg1}

4 corner to park toons in
mq2nav.ini

SW=-655.492 1005.15 -95.9043
SE=-844.203 984.727 -95.9043
NE=-856.324 1227.22 -101.94
NW=-657.131 1223.17 -101.94

Warn about add pop, it takes a few seconds to to agro and pop onto xt
/spawnmaster add "whirling debris"

Event setup
have hotkey setup positions
increase camp radius mainly so that Shaman will slow and dot

/dga /campradius 250
/dex SHM /nav wp SW
/dex TOON2 /nav wp SE
/dex BRD /nav wp NE
/dex TOON4 /nav wp NW

I turn off kiss on my melee toons except tank. I use a zerker to start the event and just leave him afk by quest dude. I just manually run the bard with dot songs and ranged dps with him.

Tank in the middle of the room. Move toons out of the way when the alert goes off, banish the dervish the cure corruption (helps to aggro this with tank). "/tar derv" hotkey

I would estimate 1M DPS is probable fine 2-3M DPS or more and you'll stack the stun with spike emote.

Haven't read too much on this, but my experience. Went in with my main group first time, spanked it out in less than two minutes. Thought I was going to run my alts in and do the same.
Nope, not enough DPS, ended up getting adds popping like every minute or so and they were not mezzable or my bard sucked trying to mez them for the whole fight. Pure DPS can finish this without any adds as portrayed in SIC's video.

[deathlock]

I burned in 60 seconds, got no poke achieve. Save big dmg spells or harmtouch for when underbulk spawns to push to next phase so he doesn't have a chance to cast the aura. Just be careful at end as some power ups are passed along to other phase mobs.

[Maul]

Damn, you have the rank 3 spells already @Sic !
