Question - What is maximum range to target

What is the maximum range from a target you can be at when in melee? Does it matter, depending on what kind of weapon one is using? Something tells me it is 15, but I am not sure. Can someone verify?

to follow on, it tells you in EQ the range they work at... lol 15 isnt it...

I was just able to check myself. My UI tells me the range to my target. At range 16, my target was "too far away", but at less than 15, both weapons and kicks hit the target.

15 might not be the sweet-spot for any class. If I remember well, for ranger it can be 30, where bowing and abilities will land.

The answer is 1. If you are not inside the mob, then you are doing it wrong. It is like food poisoning. It wreaks havoc when inside you. Same rule applies.

Seriously though, I put most of the melee toons at 10-12 in my stickhow settings and that seems to be the sweet spot for all abilities. I am not sure if it also depends on the size of the mob's hitbox either, like Dracoliches, etc.

I found that 10-15 usually works pretty well
