Hello

I was in Shadow weavers Tangle ( NoS, T1 Zone) and I noticed mobs getting killed all around the map, not the entire map but a large perimeter section. I looked at my map and saw a group in the vicinity and thought to myself it must be one hell of a powerful box group. As I continued to watch , the mobs were dying at their spawn spot , yet the group was well away and not only that , somehow it was picking out the weaker mobs from the more stronger ones (If you hunted in Tangle , some mobs have Low HP and some Much higher) . Anyways, all I could see is tons of dead mobs in a huge radius.

Only thing I can think of , Someone once long ago mentioned to me an ability to summon mobs to you individually and kill them even when they are grouped.
together.

Anyone have an idea what I was witnessing ? I am more curious than anything else , not looking to duplicate or cheat in this way

I am thinking it might be due to map showing other players isn't exactly real time. They might have killed or be in the process of killing and you see them where they were a moment ago.

this is pretty much spot on.

without actually seeing them, I wouldn't take this for anything more than something curious.

if they are far away from you, you get that information even slower (from what has been explained to me and seems to match with information watching on myseq)

if you were to watch myseq or mq2map, you'd think that all sorts of people are warping and doing badness, that aren't really doing any of that.

I would agree with Sic. You can't rely on watching toons on your map. Depending on lag in getting your information through the map it can appear as toons randomly moving from location to location. I have even noticed this with moving my own toons around. I run to a spot and have my toons nav to me and watching the map, sometimes they don't move for 10- 15 seconds, but If I tap over to the toon, he is already at camp.

you dont get real time mob location until you get closer to the mob. When you zone it sends you all the data but it does not update it in bigger zones unless you target it or get close enough.

What I found curious in OP's description is that this person was able to single out the low HP mobs and leave the high hp mobs without pulling mobs away from their spawn point. If you're doing something like a hunter-tank with group on chase mode, you're not going to have that surgical precision.

Wouldn't the location of the mob corpses tell where they are being killed or would they show up at the mob spawn point as well? Even across the map, if I remember correctly, I see a pile of mobs at a pull spot. Only time I ever saw mob corpses spread out across the map was when I was ghost killing or a buddy was doing the same. I know ghost killing is still out there but unfortunately the no-delay isn't. At least I haven't seen it in a long time.

I actually just witnessed this myself. It is definitely a lag induced problem you are seeing. The problem is more pronounced as there is more disparity between the mob levels and player levels. Quicker the kill, the more spread out it will seem as the players move about.
