As a monk, you sacrifice all the other stats for HDex. If an aug gives you +2 to all herioc stats and +50 hdex... or +75 to all herioc stats and only +35 to hdex.. you take the +50 hdex aug and smile your butt off. I'm not an end game raider.. but I'm a fanboy and listen to what the grey beards (old, experienced ones) have to say.
