Well, unfortunately i was part of the recent mass ban stickage in EQ1. I really didnt want to go out and buy another account / expansions so i figured i'd try out EQ2 again after giving up on it a year ago. Really just trying to kill some time til DDO comes out

My Question is: Looking at either a Paladin, or Ranger. i know they are two completely differnt playing fields but am looking for some incite from those of you who have seen what they are capable of high end.
For paladins, are they any good at soloing? i know they are a tank that can heal but is their DPS pretty sad?
Also, Kiting possible in EQ2? i see rangers get a Snare type spell, wondering if they are able to do some bow kiting.
