This started before the last patch and I was hoping it would stop with the last updates but unfortunately it hasn't. I had been using mq2autologin, worked great and had no issues. However when I would stop the autologin process to log in a different character than the one listed the session would crash within a minute of logging in. No errors, no mq2 is protecting the crash window, just poof window closes. If I login the main character listed in mq2autologin's ini, then camp to char select and select the new char it would be fine. I could reproduce this every single time. This only started after using mq2autologin. Never had this happen before I started using it.

Now jump to the last update. I've deleted the mq2autologin dll and no longer use it. The crashes still happen. If I login in the main character on the account first, camp to select and pick a new character there are no issues. If I select any character other than the main one first it'll crash within a minute or two. Standing still, running around, what I'm doing in game makes no difference. I've disabled every plugin and it still happens. I'm at a loss as to what is causing it, or even find a way to debug it as the window just disappears. Maybe 15% of the time I get a windows error box that says memory cannot be read with the same address every time, but most of the time it just silently crashes.

It's more annoying that critical but thought I would mention it in case anyone else has seen anything similar. It's annoying but I've been working around it for a while. I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, WinEQ2 lite. Tried this on two different computers as well, same mq2 files shared via dropbox.

Sounds like you haven't updated the UI on the other toons or corrupt character ini files in EQ. Log in to your toons make sure you have updated UI via Load UI from options. If that doesn't work backup and then delete UI_toonnane_servername.ini and Toonname_servername.ini. Log in to EQ will create new ones see if that works.

I set the main character ui like i wanted it then copy the ui to all of the other characters (mains and alts). I'll try deleting them and see what happens though. Thanks.

Finally figured this out. The cause was MQ2Events. I had event ini files for each of the mains but not for the alts. As soon as I created an ini file it hasn't crashed since (and I was able to reproduce the crash, repeatedly). I'll post a fix when I figure out what needs changing :)

I saw you posted the updated plugin stuff on main mq2 boards, but is the plugin for this compile updated? I'm crashed on my toons that don't have an ini and its annoying. I've since unloaded it, but I do intend to use it on one toon.

I don't think it is, I crashed again today on a new toon. That or my fix wasn't complete enough. I'll double check it and see. :)

I will update mq2events in the next compile.
