Question - Warrior tank over SK

Just wondering if anyone here uses a warrior for their crew. I have been using an SK for the last while and I'm just finding it a bit stale. It seems like pretty much everyone is using an SK though for their lineup.

Sk's do well in group content because of their high dps compared to a warrior. Warriors have the best straight mitigation you can get but they also have 0 self heals (unlike a SK with their taps or a paladin with heals).

for end group content nothing beats a warrior. SK mitigation is pathetic the self heals dont help. I have a raid SK and group warrior and the warrior just makes the SK look bad.

I have both a warrior and an SK. They both have their strong/week points, but personally I prefer a warrior. I will say this an SK out of the box is much easier to use as your main for holding aggro, but once you get your Warrior the AA's and Disk's he needs to hold aggro the argument becomes mute. It really boils down too your play style and what you like. I prefer my Warrior.

Yep and once you get No Time To Bleed the obvious choice is a warrior.

I built a 6 man multibox team with an SK, and I had difficulty getting started with it. Once I switched out the SK for a WAR and the DRU for a CLE, I was at least able to run around in Ferrott the Dream without getting wiped. The WAR definitely fits my playstyle better.

I've tried warrior and SK and my warrior can't hold aggro even close to the SK. I don't care about the DPS of the SK, simply want him to hold aggro so all my DPS can unload.
I've upped his AC to 8100ish and he seems to be able to take a beating pretty well with 3 to 4 heals per mob. Cleric mana is always above 90% so I'm not worried but would like to use my warrior as he was my first toon back in August 2000.
What am I doing wrong?

Well what I have done with my warrior to hold agro, is during the lower levels use 2 swords with anger procs or get augs that have anger procs, then as you level and get AA's there are a few AA's that are crucial for generating/grabbing agro. switch to sword and board at the higher levels and keep an anger aug in the sword. If you have a chanter don't forget to have him/her cast Horrifying Visage on the Warrior.

You can do a search from google for the specific AA's that you will need to really generate aggro, But I rarely have problems holding agro with my warrior.

with an anger mod on my warriors mask anger disc for pull and a DD+stun proc all aggro aa's done and a rune proc my rogue on a non burn can out aggro my warrior usually at the 10% mark of hp left

Seriously ? With all the taunts you cant hold aggro ?

Warlords grasp, blast of anger, Harrasing shout, both swarm pets, Heres my holyshit.

Rich (BB code):
holyshit11=/if (${Macro.Name.Equal[dead2war.mac]} && ${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Area Taunt]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.XTarget}>=5) /casting "Area Taunt"
holyshit12=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Blast of Anger]} && !${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Krondal's Roar]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.PctAggro}<100) /casting "Blast of Anger"
holyshit13=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && !${Me.AltAbilityReady[Blast of Anger]} && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Rage of the Forsaken]} && !${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Krondal's Roar]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.PctAggro}<100) /casting "Rage of the Forsaken"
holyshit14=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Harassing Shout]} && !${Me.AltAbilityReady[Blast of Anger]} && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Rage of the Forsaken]} && !${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Krondal's Roar]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.PctAggro}<100) /disc Harassing Shout
holyshit15=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Phantom Aggressor]} && !${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Harassing Shout]} && !${Me.AltAbilityReady[Blast of Anger]} && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Rage of the Forsaken]} && !${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Krondal's Roar]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.PctAggro}<100) /disc Phantom Aggressor

holyshit6=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.PctEndurance}>1 && ${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Krondal's Roar]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.PctAggro}<100) /disc Krondal's Roar
holyshit7=/if (${Macro.Name.Equal[dead2war.mac]} && ${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && ${Me.PctEndurance}>1 && ${Me.CombatAbilityReady[Roar of Challenge]} && ${Melee.AggroMode} && ${Me.XTarget}>=3) /disc Roar of Challenge
holyshit8=/if (${Me.Combat} && ${Target.PctHPs}<98 && !${Me.Buff[Sneering Grin].ID} && ${Me.AltAbilityReady[Sneering Grin]} && ${Melee.AggroMode}) /casting "Sneering Grin"

remove the ${Macro.Name.Equal[dead2war.mac]} obviously. This keeps aggro on everything vs 3 raid geared melee.

I have been playing sk for years mainly for the utility they bring compared to a warrior as well as other things , I have a 100 warrior but they just seem so 1trick
