Problem - Warrior Not Medding

I can't even explain this one, because I am bumfuzzled as to why this would magically, randomly, start happening. But, one of my warriors does not med anymore. I did a lot of things originally, just refreshing injections, completely reloading all of my clients, etc. I even deleted his INI and recreated it, populating it with only like 4 things and changing a few parameters (like return to camp and medon and what not). What could possibly be causing this problem? My puller won't pull until he's at 90% so I get like a solid hour of nothing happening while my warrior slowly regains endurance while standing up. I have other warriors that are working just fine, for the record.

I dint know why people dont do this while writing the initial post, but...

Please post your ini..

in 80% of the time, one of the users here, can tell you where the error is.

Because I was really looking for other ideas as to what it might be. There are only two settings in the INI file regarding medding (unless you care about medding during combat, which I don't so that shits off). Also, as I mentioned, I literally deleted my INI file, created a new one, and changed like 8 things total, and the problem still exists.

I also tried Maskoi's suggestion of just changing the med start threshhold. No dice. So here's my INI, hey, maybe there's something I never noticed in here.

Why don't you just turn the bard's groupwatch to 2 so it's only paying attention to healers, and then use rest/breather/wtfever disc you have at 100 for your war's endurance?

Workarounds are not solutions. I can come up with a bunch of different ways of 'dealing with it' on my own, thanks.

Is your bard's medstart higher than your warrior's by any chance? You could be passing your bard's medstart threshold, causing him to hold pulls, while your warrior hasn't hit his threshold and thus will just stand indefinitely. Have you tried raising your warrior's medstart # and leaving combatmed off so you'll sit between pulls if there's no mobs on xtarget?

Again though, not sure why you're relying on warrior "medding" when they gain practically infinite endurance using their regen discs while under ~20%. If it's only happening on the one toon, and there's an easy fix.......

If other Warriors, you own, working ok with that ini, it could be your mq2char ini. Its not like that an char can be bugged, just some weird ini stuff is going on. remember, there is another ini for your char, the file where the plugins write the settings for each char.

Since the ka ini is more or less empty, you seem to manage your stuff via shits probably something there is wrong.

Just wanted to post an update, this started happening to another one of my warriors the minute he dinged level 90. I do not understand the correlation, but I certainly feel it's an important one to note. This guy has been running for weeks without issue, but the moment he dinged level 90 he stopped medding endurance.

I don't know about that, I own duct tape and bailing wire and they both get used a lot! I call them solutions! I never rely on 1 way to do something if 2 are more thorough. Take looting for instance, I may use advloot but I still have toons looting just in case... Better safe then ranger-gated

Solved yet not solved: I turned off MedOn and, ironically, he meds now. I did this because I noticed he actually sits down between pulls every single time. I watched him end combat (mob died), brief pause, goes back to campfire and then sits down. So I figured, well hey if he's going to sit down between every single pull, why do I even need to turn MedOn = 1?

To answer your last question, yes my puller has group watch on. This is why this became a 'problem' for me. Because he just sits there "Waiting for ${dumbass} to med to 90%" while ${dumbass} is standing up.

it appears what was happening is that the endcombat/reset portion was resetting my tank back to camp, then having him sit, then MedOn would kick in and he would /sit but that actually made him stand up since he was already sitting? It was never a huge deal in the first place, I just thought it was really strange originally, and then doubly strange when I finally started to encounter it on a second group of mine.

I don't know where the conflict could really be or why it would suddenly start at level 90, I only use Vanilla with KA, so it's not like I'm running a bunch of other shit, nor do I use Holy's on these farm groups or anything. I try to keep things ultra simple, not looking to make 10 million plat a day

If any of this info helps you, great, if not I apologize :(

Yeah so, another update. Now he's not medding ever. I dunno what's going on, I'm turning MedOn back on and going to bed. There's gotta be a conflict somewhere, I'll go digging around to figure out what it is but if GroupWatch is making my puller tell my tank to /sit when he sees him at 25%, but my tank is already sitting between each pull because he has MedOn? I dunno, I don't really understand that sounds like it would be a conflict fucking everyone over and defeating the purpose? My brain is fried it's been a long day so bedtime ill look into this more tomorrow

There's your problem then. Only rebooting will solve it. have fun with that.

MQ2 always gets wonky with that kind of uptime. Loses sync with stuff. You should have posted that first it would have save a lot of time . lmao
