Official Forums member Manabyte stopped by the Non-Gameplay forum today to ask if Dual-Boxing (the process of using two accounts (and thus two characters) on two computers side by side at the same time) was allowed in EQ2.
Moorgard was more then happy to stop by and let the Manabyte and the entire community know Sony's policy on Dual Boxing:
As long as you do not automate the gameplay, you can run as many accounts simultaneously as you like. I can't speak to the rules that other games have, but there's absolutely nothing wrong with two-boxing in and of itself in EQ2.
Please note that "automated gameplay" doesn't refer to legitimate commands like /follow; it refers to external software or hardware that replaces the need for you to actively participate in the advancement of your character.
