looks like an eq bug

Still crashing on zoning. Seems better than yesterday - but one toon was crashing every time i zone.

Same client.ini as other toons. Same PC as other toons.

Neither of these looks like they are caused by MQ.

I don't have any way to reproduce, and the data in the crash report doesn't suggest anything related to macroquest. If it is really easy for you, i would recommend start unloading plugins and see if any of the plugins are at fault, and also verify that the crash doesn't occur if mq is unloaded.

is this a known issue or on my end?

it looks like your test server eq isn't updated. did you update eq?
Isn't dannet a communication feature for developers too?
it can be - but a square is a rectangle, but a rectangle isn't a square.

anyone can utilize dannet with a simple command so they can issue hotkey commands to their teams
actors would require some setup and a script managing that to do so --- just like scripts that utilize dannet to communicate with other things that developers make

Since the MQ update about 2 out of 6 of my characters crash on zoning. Not happening with MQ off. Also navigation off as well, for example, /travelto group deadhills cannot find a path however was not an issue prior to patch.

When there is a crash, it says it made a crash dump. Is the crash dump automatically sent to you for review or do I have to send it to someone manually (I'm not computer savy in any way)?

they are automatically sent, but other than an accumulation of crashes that get looked at based on frequency or due to something specific - you'll want to control+c that crash dialog window and paste a crash ID here for one of the devs, cwtn, or myself to take a look at.
as mentioned by a few others in this thead that brain responded to, there appears to be several crashes that are not related to mq, but pure eq crashes unfortunately

i randomly got this while zone( also tested it zone in/out without mq and it didnt crash)
i will test it later by unload plugin one by one.

@brainiac so...ive done some tests tonight after work

Loaded one group in normal eq - no isboxer, no mq. Went and zoned about 7 times (total of 42 zoning please wait) No crashes. Noice. But omg how do we survive without MQ?

Loaded up group 2 (Same PC, Same INI) - War/Clr/Enc/Mag/Rog/Zer - 5 crashes first zone from GH to Shar vahl. Crash crash crash... WAR MA/MT and everyone was on chase.

Running 39 different plugins - The first thing that came to mind was MQ2Nav. - Maybe something about chasing/or loading the mesh?

I unload Mq2Nav on all 6 toons and then zoned them 12 times....a total of 72 Zoning please wait messages and not a single crash.

1701763019871.png

This is not definitive....but it may be a good indicator that something in mq2nav is causing the issue.

I've tried with mq2nav unloaded but I still get the occasional crash :( , I'm working my way through the plugins loaded but it's a slow process.

Hello,

I'm using Kissassist.
Since the last patch i crash half of my group when i use druid portal or succor.
Before the patch i used to crash randomly, now the random crashes are minimal but every time i succor to teleport i crash half of my group.

eq has a lot of crashes atm + test server had an MQ build today - make sure to be updated.

if you control+c in the crash dialog window and then control+v to paste that crash ID into your post, it allows MQ devs to take a look at the crash.

it is unlikely kissassist is causing your crash.

Not sure if it was called out but MQ2Nav folder showing at the root of the RG directory (empty) and meshupdate showing missing all the mesh's but the MQ2Nav folder still resides in the resources dir with everything intact.

As this folder was empty, had me worried that all my mesh's were gone.
All mesh's load fine in game though.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place, i have been looking around and struggling to find just where to post

So, I joined recently, and watched a few tutorials, but when im struggling with is what are the pros and cons of killassist V mq pluggins ( or the other way around) which should i be using. is there any benefit to one over the other, or is it purely down to user preference
