MQ will not load

I can open the launcher, go to Very Vanilla tab, then click Launch MQ button.

It opens the EQBCS window, but does not load MQ on the chars in game.
I tried loading MQ and then logging in the chars (same result).

The MQ icon shows in the system tray but disappears instantly when you try to click it with the mouse.

I am not getting the message of "you already have mq running" when you click the Launch MQ button.

What I have tried:
- updating window
- reload/repair the launcher.
- uninstalled Red Guides Launcher and reinstalled it.
- a lot of cursing words.
still does not load.


any ideas?

What server are you on?
MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards. This requires not just EQ "saying" that it is now relaxed truebox, it *requires* EQ to remove their serverside truebox flag/restrictions. If EQ doesn't do that, like what happened with Oakwynd, it will not work until after they do.

Other tools such as MySEQ and IonBC are available for truebox servers.

That should not apply to me. I am on a normal loot/progression server.

additionally, I have checked with others on server that use MQ and it is working normally for them.

I was able to load mmobugs (don't judge me..lol) and it works fine.
 
I'm seeing a lot of crash reports in MacroQuest.exe from a pc named AORUS_X7 which I presume to be you.

The exception code is 0xc0000096 which means EXCEPTION_PRIV_INSTRUCTION. This is happening deep inside of the sqlite3 library and is not part of macroquest code, but part of the sqlite library used to read/write to the sqlite database.

The instruction where this failed is a normal mov instruction, not a privileged instruction. This is incredibly unusual behavior, and generally this means that the executable has been corrupted somehow.

Try re-installing.

If it still happens your PC might be having some serious issues.

MQ will load with MMOBUGS but will not load with RedGuides.


When you say tray reinstalling. Are you referring to EQ, Launcher, Mq?

Mq. In particular the macroquest.exe is corrupt somehow

Before going too far into any troubleshooting. Is this any sort of known issue? Occurs whenever I open a trade window. First time playing since Test update. First time logging in my 2nd group the same time as the first.
 
I believe it has been mentioned, this will get moved to coreMQ thread, I havent seen a post in there (Discord user mentioned it).
