So I closed bluestacks android emulator and it worked perfectly first time, no idea why that would lock any eq files but its working now
 
HI guy first time posting have a question. I updated mq in the launcher window it say last installed 11/15 but when i hit the launch MQ button the MQ icon in the is saying Mq [nov 9 (live) and wont log in without pop error to update to 11/15 . I hit the reinstall button few times(waited for it to say it was updated) and tried to reboot pc and still show it updated in launcher but not the mq icon. Any help would be appreciated
 
I am trying to update and am getting this message. I do not have any version of EQ running. What am I doing wrong, please?

I checked and they are not, i have restarted my computer. Now I get a pop up stating my files are out of sync? I hit the update. I am not tech savvy, I apologize in advance. But it was working just perfectly yesterday and today...not so much.

yes, you need to hit the update button, you're trying to use a verion for november, but eq is now december.
 
I have been following the crash threads and following the instructions. I deleted GameFace frome the .ini file, do not use MQ2Maps and turned off the MQ2Spawn.....(something or other). The crashes were few and far, figured they were manageable and waited for updates. These three came out last night and now when there is an MQ2 crash, my computer forcibly restarts. I wish I had time to copy the crash id, but it barely has time to flash on the screen before everything restarts.

Your computer restarts? That doesn't sound eq/mq related
 
I use ESET security, have EQ, RedGuides, and MQ all set as trusted and always allow. Should I try with ESET turned off?
 
Yeah a full restart sounds odd. Try playing all your accounts without MQ for a few hours (painful idea, I know) and see if you get any reboots.

Will do that as a second step. I found out how to turn off Autorestart on crash. Hoping that will give me time to copy the ID before anything else.
 
Got it before restart this time. Have to approve restart, so was able to copy before going through with it.

Not sure where to post this, of its helpful, but with regards to crashing. I multibox 6, and can cause crashes by using the Brave web browser (eqresource.com + redguides were only tabs open). It hung the web browser too, couldn't close it, change tabs, type etc. I stopped trying to run the browser too and things worked smoothly.

P.S. I was also tracking memory usage, and was running at 76% as reported by task manager... so also disabled the Luclin models at the same time as ceasing to run the browser. Not related, but in case anyone curious, no luclin models reduced ram usage by a large chunk. dropped me to 64%

Or Brain lost hours of sleep, and got it figured out :shrug: 50/50
 
So, anyone else seeing the "bug" where when you switch personas the MQ tab disappears, and you have to log out and back in to get it back? Not sure if this is the right thread for this.
