Strange issue, will see 2 of the same name on my map and clicking on one of them crashes EQ completely. (Players only not NPC's)

if anyone having map problems/crashes can send the dump files to eqmule ([email protected]) or zip them up and attach here, that would be a big help.

As for macroquest2.exe and windows defender, it's a false positive. If you're paranoid, hex edit and compare to the official mq2.exe - you'll see only two minor changes set off windows defender.

Try this one instead and let me know the results:

Windows 10 is now flagging this as malware. I had to disable Windows defender, which I never had to do before. Not a big deal, but thought I should let you know.

Same here; it's complaining about Trojan: Win32/Mulrolu.B!cl

I also noticed it no longer shows in the systray, which I like. I just have to remember to find the process and shut it down before getting a new version without the visual clue that it is indeed running lol.

*Edit* NM, a reboot has it now showing in systray.

Compile updated, reverted to old macroquest2.exe due to false-positive issues with new .exe. No other changes.

Hrm, maybe because we reverted to the old .exe.

Anyway, good news: Microsoft just reviewed the new version of macroquest2.exe and added it to the whitelist, so Windows Defender will no longer delete it :) Will put it out in next update.

Microsoft cleared Macroquest2.exe, Windows Defender will no longer think it's a virus.

MQ2 Devs:
Fixed a crash in mq2map. Thanks to everyone that sent in crash dumps.
Fixed a /unload crash.

And there was much rejoicing. Yay...

I just zoned my 6 man group about 10 times and didn't have a single crash... 6000 percent improvement.

YEP Crashing also open map and it shows 6 of me and some weird as symbols and charectors all in a bunch

That's because you're using an old version of MQ2. Click update.exe :)

Running into crashing once loaded in game (takes about 1-2 seconds) - Using basic macroquest.ini defaults there isn't a crash (so its a plugin i'm adding), manually adding via in-game /plugin doesn't cause crash. Here is my INI plugin load order.

Plot Twist: It only crashes on gold characters, my silver ones load just fine. Its not mq2nonagwindows or mq2viewport.

Yeah, its a plugin that i'm adding for sure. Everything loads just fine with defaults. I just can't figure out which one is doing it. Going to debug to file, its driving me crazy.

Hell with this, it has to be something with my work PC. I am getting just crash after crash on 2 character instances. It might be innerspace / ISboxer. I'm going to try it when I go home and see what happens.

Note that the following Values was removed from the ITEMINFO Struct in the TEST build:
.Accuracy
.StrikeThrough
.Avoidance
.DoTShielding
.SpellShield
.StunResist
.CombatEffects
.Shielding
.DamageShieldMitigation
Its unlikely that these will return, but I will know in a few days when I have had more time to investigate this.
I *MIGHT* create wrapper functions for these values like ((EQ_Item*)pItem)->GetAccuracy();.
BUT IF YOU HAVE PLUGINS OR MACROS THAT USE THESE VALUES: //Comment them out for now...
I will know more before this stuff gets pushed to the LIVE client next week...

Finally... move the NetStatus indicator on the screen. You are no longer limited to the upper left corner.
Using NetStatusXPos and NetStatusYPos these will be added the to default (0,0) coordinates to allow placement
at other areas on the screen.
Added commands /netstatusxpos, /netstatusypos to update the (x,y) screen coordinates for the NetStatus indicator.

Maintenance release PART II:
Added .IsSwarmSpell to the Spell TLO, it return TRUE/FALSE if a spell is a swarmspell or not.
Usage: /echo ${Spell[Chattering Bones].IsSwarmSpell}
Output: TRUE
Fixed the offset for EQ_PC__GetCombatAbilityTimer_x (again)
Fixed another crash in mq2map.
