Instructions

1. Use the Patchme command to bypass the SOE Launcher
2. Download the Very Vanilla compile zip file at the bottom of this post.
3. Download the RGUpdater.
4. Use the RGUpdater to update your MacroQuest files. Instructions are here.
5. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
6. Run EverQuest.exe
7. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
8. Click Here for Plugin Commands/Descriptions.

- Well... This is probably the most important update to MQ2 in years.
Recent changes to the client released with the new Broken Mirror expansion
added a new type of MQ2 detection which is meant to prevent mq2 usage on the new Phinigel server.
We fully support the NO MQ2 policy on Phinigel, and we want to continue
supporting that policy and backup DBG any way we can that’s within reason.
We have therefor decided to add a new type of integrity checker to MQ2.
We have placed the code in a MQ2 plugin that has been named MQ2Ic.dll. (MQ2 Integrity checker)
We feel strongly that MQ2 is in a symbiosis with Everquest, and it’s important to us
that all MQ2 users feel safe while they use MQ2.
MQ2 users are an important part of the Everquest community and we wish to keep it that way.
In short, we recommend you keep MQ2Ic.dll loaded while you are playing Everquest.
It will protect your integrity on all servers EXCEPT Phinigel.
It will be included in every zip from now on, and will be maintained by active mq2 devs.
Its usage is optional though, and you can unload and load it like any other plugin, but it comes loaded by default.
This plugin will also fix some recent plugin issues and crashes as well as improve the fps performance.

I've noticed several zones during raids that get a weird object on the map... " ShowEQ users suck " it is called... Something like that.
I think there is 1 for every user, because sometimes there is 2 and other times there are 10...

Plane of Hate was the first place that I noticed it in.

Worked like a beast!
Unloaded, started up the updater, forgot EQBC was open still, beast program was like "naw you gotta close that, let me do that for you k?", I was like damn k.
moments later it was done. BEAST

BTW xtar isn't working on progression servers with this new version. I've already tried using:

Xtarget does not work on TLP servers with any compile.
If it did, like people say it does with ours we know nothing about it.
Its pure luck and coincidence.

if you were to use these commands on Ragefire or Lockjaw

/xtarget show on
/loadskin

and the xtarget window just happen to pop up. You are probably hallucinating and once again we at RG no nothing about it.

So I have a problem updating. I have version 1.3 of the updater. As I try to update this new compile i get an error that it cannot create the directory because it already exists (/MQ2 directory) or that it does not have permission to access the directory. I have gotten either error when trying to update. I had no problems with the 11/20 update and I tried it again today with no problems on the 11/20 update.

It's nice to see you guys realizing the symbioses between DBG and MQ2.

All the Phinny server does is allow a select group of players to play the game without any programs or advantages, and it allows the rest of us to game how we please.

Ragefire and Lockjaw will combine soon.

I think it's a bit of a dick move by DBG. As long as MQ2 doesnt let you run more than one account on one computer they should leave it alone. I hate having to mash the taunt button or bash or whatever that's primarily what I use MQ2 to do for me aside from maps lol.

you are beating a dead horse! There will be no KA on Phinny, you are not considering the bigger picture here! Deal with it! It is not happening, if KA gets on phinny then DBG will start a war on all of KA and we all lose, give them their 1 server and move the fuck on!

One of our promises is to keep the users here safe. We don't offer a compile for Phinigel for the same reason we don't offer warp and speed hacks - users get banned. DBG has been clear about this.
