Instructions

1. Use the Patchme command to bypass the SOE Launcher
2. Download the Very Vanilla compile zip file at the bottom of this post.
3. Download the RGUpdater.
4. Use the RGUpdater to update your MacroQuest files. Instructions are here.
5. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
6. Run EverQuest.exe
7. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
8. Click Here for Plugin Commands/Descriptions.

• If EverQuest crashes when trying to log in, make sure you're using the newest RGUpdater.

Im new around here...so if we donate to eqmule we get it b4 the ones that are paying the subs here? And is there a specific amount to get the pre release? Thx

The "pre-release" is something I started to get help testing and it's just a zip that contains the source, has nothing to do with paying subs here or any other site.

I'm not specifically updating mq2 for any other site than macroquest2.com which is where maskoi downloads it and builds a redguides version for you guys (as does every other site who provides pre built mq2)...

Since this isn't 2003 where we had 20000 downloads every patch, I go where the users are, but I like to be clear on this, my relationship with redguides and its users is kind of a symbiosis, I can't update quickly without your support, and you won't get it [quickly] at all unless I update it...

So in order to give some incentive to people that build mq2 from source themself, I decided to start releasing the zip a little bit earlier on patchday to them, but I also do it cause those people report bugs to me and it gives me more time to test.

So anyway when you see me tweet that I have a prerelease ready, it's just a zip with the source for people who can build it themself.

Having said that, obviously if I can just order a pizza while working on the patch cause someone donated a 20 it means I can release an hour or two earlier since I don't have to waste time on making lunch... You get the point I'm sure
