Using Faction Song/Spell for Good/Evil Camp in Lavastorm

I'm surprised at how many people don't already know this, so I decided to post it.

If you try to use a faction song/spell on people in the camps, it says it won't take hold. However, if you use your song/spell on the corresponding camp's guard(s), then it will take hold and will take effect for the entire camp. It's been like this since day one of release and I never posted it because I figured it would be fixed soon. It hasn't, so I guess they're not worried about it.

This has helped me tremendously and saved countless hours of factioning. Hope it helps you.

just a guess but the reason why this probably works is because you can't cast any type of spell or attack the quest givers in the camp therefore the faction spell won't work but... The guards are attackable by players therefore the song works on them.

Would be kinda hard to fix this i think unless they just made the guards not attackable. but thern they wouldn't be able to attack other ploayers from the other faction either so it would be kinda dumb to even have the guards if that were the case.

Holy Crap im a retard!!! I never even thought of trying this. Sadly none my characters can cast a faction spell so looks like I will be farming that Ornate Velium Pendant.

its a bard song that increases your faction with the NPC your casting on

enchanters have a similar spell

they are part of the alliance chain of spells/songs

Bard's Lvl 11 Cinda's Charismatic Carillion

ENC has a whole bunch of them starting at Lvl 8 with alliance all the way through lvl 50's Collaboration

This doesn't seem to work. My warrior was amiably so I went and go a Ornate Velium Pendant and used it like you said. That got me up to kindly faction but when I hail the gnome guy for the mission it doesnt show up. Looks like using a clicky like I did did nothing to affect the missions

This only raises it a certian amount of faction, i think its one level. so there for you cant go from KoS to evil. and then try to get a mission from them. atleast i dont belive.

When you start out and don't have any faction with them, this is more important....but becomes less important as you gain more faction such as with amiable to kindly. At that point, you have to have done advancement to get new sets of missions.
