Use new "SOE" UI from Escape to Norrath with EverQuest

I was going to add it as an attachment but it's too big. Also, this isn't really a cheat, but I have been waiting for MQ2 to be patched. Here goes...

1) All you have to do is copy "escapetonorrath.exe" to a empty directory somewhere and doubleclick "escapetonorrath.exe" to start the patching.

2) After all files are downloaded, rename the "default" folder that is within the "uifiles" folder to something like "newdefault"

3) Then fire up regular EQ.

4) Place the "newdefault" in the "uifiles" folder as you normally would for any custom UI.

5) Once in game do a /load newdefault 1

Works great. I haven't run into any problems yet. It's very interesting to see how far SOE is willing to rip off World of Warcraft.

Wow... thats a nice lookin UI.. is that a copy from WoW?

What exactly did i do .. redownload EQ again? or a alternate EQ?

I see alot of files that look the same.. not searching them all ...lol

Is that normal, graphic of characters look alot more realist than my standard everquest game... Can I have the same graphic with the game than this tutorial ? BTW things have change, not everything is as before when making the tutorial...

edit-> SOE changed date from sept 28 to oct 12 for when they are doing the ui patch to all servers or anyway was last date I saw

The horizontal hotkeys is a trip and all the fancy lil spell gems remind me of Cade's manthong collection. You know bright, hawt, and sometimes covered in brown :p

I was using this UI on my mage twink last night dinking around, and to me it's allt he same just as the WoW ripoffs to spice it up.
