I'm working on leveling some toons. I have 125 necro and 125 mage which eat a lot of the experience on top of the slow experience gains for a level 108. Im using the shared experience from Fellowship and also doing Overseer but as stated, leveling a Bard (currently 108).
Any recs on zones? I grinded for a bit in Heros Forge 0.7% exp per kill on the Bard (decent exp but slower kills) and then I wrecked Overthere (ROS) but getting 0.2% exp per kill on the Bard.
Debating Gnome Memorial Mountain Darkness Howls instanced to grind in. Open to suggestions. Trying to balance terrain for grinding and speed of kills vs experience gained per kill.

Thank you.

There is no safe place to grind overnight, even if we condoned the whole afk thing dude (and this community does not condone that on official servers).

Something I've heard before and done myself.
You mentioned that in Hero's Forge you were getting .7% but slower kills, and that you wrecked Overthere (ROS), but only got .2% per kill on the bard.
Don't pay so much attention to the xp per kill, but the xp per hour. Do you kill 4 or more Overthere mobs faster then you kill 1 Hero's Forge mobs? If you do, then the net gain will be more in the Overthere.

I am assuming you have a healer merc and 2 melee dps or just 3 melee dpsmercs to help the number of mobs killed per hour.

To your question, Frontier Mountains (pick one of the forts) until 108-109. Then go give Sathir's tomb a try. One of the two back rooms if you can get the camp. Level to 110, then head to ToV. Or, since the walk to Sathir's Tomb is tedious to me and the back two rooms usually, just head to ToV. You'll go there once you reach 110 anyway. In ToV, if you just want to level, I'd go to the Great Divide and go to the south middle (between the dragon cave and PoM port) and pick a spot where no mobs come, and pull to there. If you want more privacy, then try the Tower of Frozen Shadow and key up to the 2nd floor and hunt the library. Lots of mobs, and no one really goes to ToFS. If that doesn't work for you, I've never found anyone to come visit me in Dragon Necropolis (CoV).

At 110, your bard gets Shauri's Sonorous Clouding aa 3/3 casts two spells, one invis and one IVU. And at that point, you can travel with basic immunity to aggro, so long as you keep away from named.

At 115 to 120, One of the spots I like is ToL Maiden's Eye, and camp what I call the temple, where the zone line is for Ka Vethan in the middle south of the zone.
At 120, I don't know, thats where F2P stops leveling.

Your priority is to maximize your kill/downtime by determining where your XP per hour is the greatest. And then wreak havoc.

Good luck in your leveling adventures.

Extra life Bonus exp will turn on tomorrow (at least it is scheduled) so make sure you set up some 24 hour Overseer.

Darkness Howls was not that great for my early 100 guys but they were grouped with some 125's.

What I did find good was a camp about halfway down on the west side in FM. It's where Blooddrinker Furasza spawns. It's a sweet set up and if you rotate thru the mobs the right way then it is constant killing with few adds. You don't have to fight thru a ton to get a single one. It was pretty good for those 100 + levels.

Also in most expansions Partisan tasks give XP. About 0.5-1% per complete is typical. Completing a Partisan line for a zone will result in about 10% XP.

Missions gives XP. 1-2% per complete. They can give about 30% for the savior/hero ACH.

You can also get 2% of a level per collection set completed

Check the daily HA from Teek cause he can send you there, not much during but could be good at the end depending on which you got

When I make a new toon I just heroic to 100 and then stick them in the group and farm xp in gilded spire. I send all the loot to the new toon, and kill the two dragons and everything between them over and over. By the time they hit 125 they have a full set of visible and non visible trade skill gear, rk II etc. Place has been empty since beta opened.

With the xp bonus starting today, I'd focus on completing partisan and mercenary quests that give an xp bonus (e.g. from ToV, ToL or LS).

Some missions are also quite easy (e.g., Griklor the Restless from ToV) and will give a huge bonus on first completion (specially with the xp bonus, which also increases xp gained from achievements).

For pure grinding, I liked Gorowyn and Sathir's tomb better than FM. Also Cobalt Scar (CoV version) was not too bad (Desirae Fanfare camp if you can clear it fast enough - also the named will spawn a lot now with the bonus).

Yup, this. I just did it with a new wizard 3 weeks ago. Heroic to 100 and added him to my group. Took 10 days to get 125 playing a good amount each day but certainly not close to constant. I never upgraded his heroic until he hit 125 and his bags were full of shackled visible and pretty much every other slot too.
