Problem - Unreadable UI Text (1 Viewer)

This is bizarre. It started a few days ago. I didn't make any changes to my setup.

I have 3 screens. On my main driver toon, who I use on my main screen, suddenly the text in all the chat boxes and EQ menus is very hard to read.

If I move the EQ window to a different monitor, it's fixed.

However, the opposite is not true. if I move another EQ window from one of my other toons onto the main display, the problem does not occur.

So the problem only happens with a specific toon on a specific monitor.

What is additionally weird, is that I cannot screenshot the problem. When I go into screenshot mode, the text displays fine! When I leave screenshot mode, it is poor again.

The only way I could think to show this is via a video of my screen with my phone. You can see in the video when my cursor changes to crosshairs, the text renders fine.

Does anyone have any clues as to what's going on?

for that toon, in your alt-o options, what do you have for "font" (im thinking this is probably not the issue, but figure starting there is good).

Arial.

But the problem already starts on the server list when the game is loading. I can hardly read the names of the servers.

(Unless I try to take a screenshot, then the text renders fine!)

If I drag the EQ window, half way between monitors (So the window shows partially on another monitor), the issue fixes itself, even for the portion on the original monitor.

but still only the 1 character? lol that's a weird one

might be worth deleting any reference to that toon in your eq folder and seeing if that fixes it by loading some defaults

Okay, I found steps to reproduce it.

1) I move the toon to a different display. It looks fine there.
2) I camp to desktop, and log in again, so the application loads on that monitor.
3) I move the window back to my main display, and it's fixed!
4) I resize the window to fit my main display and the problem occurs again

So the act of resizing an EQ window, on my main display (an only on my main display) causes the problem.

The question is why. And why all of a sudden?

Intel based system? I've seen this issue before as well. Had somthing to do with 'maintain display scaling ' for that monitor.
For the ones I've seen, in software like Intel graphics command center, I've had to toggle off and back on that option to fix.

Recent Win 11 update had some general GUI/XAML/XML issues too. Might be somehow related but I'm only qualified enough to say Microsoft finds a way to cause headaches in remarkable ways.
