Tech - Unable to adjust Gamma setting

I can no longer adjust my gamma settings and the screen is very dark. This is what it says in options/display,



I've tried to change UIs, even went back to default.

Yup they disabled Gamma , adjust it with your video card. Unsure about ATI but with Nvidia you can set specific settings per application.

Did you goto the advanced options and disable it on EQ?

Get out of windowed mode.

options-display-advanced-Enable gamma windowmode make sure its checked , and if using Custom UI make sure you go to Default to correct it then back to your custom .

I went to full screen mode and got the gamma settings back.

I even remember this one from way back gamma settings only work in full screen if in windowed mode the gamma setting in the UI will not work. What I used to do back in the good ole CRT days was just turn up the manual brightness dial on my monitor. It was easier than going through to video card settings because usually had to have a third party program that would crash half the time or cause Bsod's. Oh the joy of 3dfx cards.
