ULTIMATE Bard Kiting

No, they're not. My vulka's are still landing for 205 regular (410 crit) and tuyen's for 189. Unless it's in the 13th patch, which server's aren't up yet but there's nothing in the patch message.
 
Okay but my Tuyen's was hitting for 199 per tick with Instrument Mastery 3 and Singing Mastery 1. After patch they went down to 149 so I added Singing Mastery 2....nothing. So I went up a level....nothing. Got a better drum....nothing. Now no matter what I improve I'm still 149 per tick. Vulka is higher dot so it's probably capped from what it would do. I have no desire to pay 50k for a song so they work fine till I find them.

THEY NERFED BARD AGAIN.
 
whatever it is, they just did it to you lol. Singing mastery doesn't affect chants btw. What drum mod are you using? With a 3.0 mod and improved instrument mastery, tuyen's hits for 178 (I had that wrong last post, eq was down so I wasn't sure). And how did your tuyen's hit for 199? without IIM, it would have to be substantially greater than 3.0, not gonna do the math but I'd estimate 3.4-3.5 at least? I see 3 drums that fit this, rathe (3.4), feran (3.5) and lizardskin (3.7). I may have missed some, but my point is they're not that easy to come by. If you're killing txevu I wouldn't think 50k or farming runes for spells would be that difficult...

He may be keeping his bard at lvl 65 for better aa. If I remember the math correctly with max aa 3.4 or 3.5 mod is about the most your gonna benefit from. The lizardskin drum's 3.7 mod is useless unless you havent maxed instrument mastery. With 3.1 DoN drum mod my vulkans hitting for 210 and not sure about tuyens but I think its 189-193 im at work so cant confirm. So he may have just misstyped and ment 189.

Since my bard was only 23 or so when I started this I only played 1 7 7 7. Heal dd dd dd :p . Just PLed him to 30 so I have a dot now so will be doing heal dot dd dd (unless my speed plugin wont work after patch then I will do sow heal dot dd, but thats just me)

Post the macro you saved as forgotten.mac and I will take a look at it :p
 
hey Jumjum5 im running the mac you put up on page 4. I keep losing selos and I cant twist more the 6 songs is there anything i can do to fix this? I have editted the sub to twist the songs 1-7 and try to make it twist selos more than once.

Um twist like 4 songs. Like Selos Heal Selos Dot or something like that
 
got it working. I dont know if it was the problem that the sub succor event was all the way to the left and the others were to the right one space, or the event add thing at the very bottom had no commands so I took it out. but its up and working now, thanks for all the help

Well now my bard is lvl 40 and now seems to get by just fine with no HP buffs or regen. All I do is play heal song, selos, DoTs, and Brusco's. Running for hours like this now.
 
Going to give you a small write up on my experiences.....

Currently my main Bard (Bard #1) is 65 with 300ish AAs, and I'm PLing a second Bard (Bard #2) is only level 55 at the moment. What I do is I get the mission from the guy on the dock with Bard #1 completely ungrouped....then I add Bard #2 to the mission. When I zone in, all my mobs are 63-65ish in level...yes some con white to 65. I warp to loc -385.49 139.80 -13.04 and then circle with a radius of 60 around the center of -339.409 229.298. This will take your circle around a pillar....as stated your going to get spammed with "Can not see you target messages".

I have found out though that if you do NOT twist in selo's, you can still stay ahead of the mobs, and make them circle around a lot better, minimizing the "Can't see" messages. You will still get some, but not near as many. Bard #1 has run5, and has no problem keeping ahead of the mobs with out selos.

Max hit on the mobs seems to be around 700ish, as opposed to Vxed where the trash hits for close to 1k (max i think on trash is 982), and the named hits for 1200, full quad plus flurry, and it summons.

Xp in Forgotten Halls isn't bad, but its nothing compared to Vxed. I think Bard #1 gets about 2 AAs while grouped with Bard #2 on the whole 6 hours.

Just a little bit on the mobs themselves.....rats and bats don't add...not even to each other. However, the golem things (an earthen reject) adds to EVERYTHING. The golems won't run if there is more than 1 mob you are towing in your circle.

Overall, probably the best spot to PL to level 60. Great find guys.
 
Well they werent running away last night when I put this up for 2 hours and gained 3/4ths of a level (all blue con mobs, gonna try starting it with a bit higher friend to get higher level mobs)
 
I started this today with a level 25 bard and I twisted in Denon's Disruptive Discord (/twist Heal DD DD AE) til I got abt 5-7 mobs chasing me then I switched back to a pure DD twist (/twist Heal DD DD DD). Eventually you will target all the mobs and kill them but in the process target will select a mob not chasing you and pull it. I take some damage from time to time but never enough that my heal song can't take care of. Hope this helps :)
 
How can I get there with a lvl 12 bard ?

I go to Surefall Glade then to Jaggedpine Forest, but from there I cant go to Nedaria's Landing to much mobs tht attack me, I try to go with a Druid level 58, but he can't keep me alive so what to do now ?
 
tryed invis? :) (thought nedaria landing was accessible only by the wayfarer camp tho)
 
Heya guys, when i get the expedition on my level 53 toon (not grouped with anyone and only one in expedition) and zone into Forgotten Halls, all of the mobs are DB/white/yellow and red cons. This started happening 2-3 days ago, and I can't get him to give me the expedition so that only dark blue mobs spawn. Any suggestions? I restarted my computer, reloaded mq2/wineq and it still does it. Thanks for your help

If you have the Hide ability, you can use the HideRun offset or just have your druid invis your alt. If we get a working warp, you can do that too.

Get the adventure stone so you can just use the magus :p

Just get a lvl 50 toon in there with ya or just kill the DB/white/yellow and red cons in there....
 
Problem is I dont have a lvl 50 toon and i can't kill the db/white/yellow and red cons in there because im using druid to pl a bst and if i leave him afk for more than an hour or so he is going to be oom, but with db mobs he can heal fine..anyone else having this problem?

Are you killing in the room with all the rats in it? So far I have only gotten blue and white mobs in there with my 55 druid and also with my 33 bard.

You are going to need someone a bit higher to start the expedition with you then, that's what i just did to get yellow/red cons.
 
Yea jumjum5 I only kill in the room with the rats...I dont understand why it would change from all blue to blue, white, yellow, and red mobs when i didnt change level or anything just got a new expedition...its really weird. And motosuwa think you misunder stood post hehe, im trying to get only DB mobs because thats all i can hand at the moment, thanks for all the help :)
 
Hmmm well try getting the expidetion over and over until you get blues in there or get a friend that is lower lvl than you.
 
hmm tried getting expedition seven times and no change, it must be something with me because other people are getting DB's :(
 
I have try Invisibility, but it wear off most of the time only 5-10 seconds after the cast, so I can't rely on this...

Someone mention a stone to get direct access to there, does it have a Quest for that or something, I have done research on both google and Alakhazalm and didnt find any quest to help...

You get yourself an adventure stone by going to your home town and talking to the wayfare npc in there. When you zone in you get like a bunch of yellow text to pop up. Once you have finished talking with them you have to go to a wayfare camp. I went to the one in everfrost since I knew that zone like the back of my hand back in the day :D . Just hail the vah shir chick at the wayfare camp and tell her "farstone magic". That is how you get your adventure stone. After you have it just hail the magus and tell them nedaria and he will port you to Nedaria's Landing where you can get your expidition

Just use warp or /zone. Wurked phine phor mi.
 
Dont understand how warp function, it give me a error message, maybe I dont enter the loc the good way...

As for /zone, I read that this will make you ban less than 24h after using it, so for now I restraint myself from using it

Finally the Adventurer Stone, that's what was missing, the Magug didnt bother with me... Only have to gain 3 level, then I will be able to go to this amazing place...
 
Telling us there is an error message does NOTHING, what is it? It's like asking what kind of car you have and you respond "a white one". I use /zone all the time, not banned yet, used it for the first time 4 months ago.....
 
/zone is a function that I use with great regularity, with no problems yet. But I do make sure that I do use it when no other people are around and if there are, I go to a loc that is out of sight.
I have used the /zone, /warp and /fade with no problems since the compile at all. But I usually camp a spot near a zone line and don't overuse or abuse them.

Yep the Forgotten Halls works and for me, procudes 3-4% AA every kill (62 bard) -- which is about every 10 min.

Question tho... how the BLEEP do you get out of the thing? LOL
I mean... I might want to do something else, ya know?

I think the succor logic is malfungo.

1. loc 245 -33 0 puts me somewhere where the screen is blue, and I only see stars in the background, and somebody is casting a spell in the bkgr. Am I supposed to be there ?

2. If you stop circling you are still running.

3. You really should sit after singing heal, it increases the regen by a point or two per tick.

I added 2 lines in the main loop after the check for succor:
(1 is selos, 2-5 are my dots, 8 is heal)

/if (${Me.PctHPs}>97) /twist 1 2 3 4 5
/if (${Me.PctHPs}<90) /twist 1 8 2 3 4 5

Obviously, this will take out the heal from the twist if you're in good health, and put in in if you got hit.

Not what I meant... how do you get out of the rat room ? You're chanting at a room full of rats, and you sure dont want to die to get out.

I suppose you could wait till you succor, but there are problems with the succor location. (see above)
 
wanted to add for all of us bards who can forage, adding the yafm(Yet Another Forage Macro) to this one in a subrutine makes it so you wont run out of food or water and also raise your foraging skill.
Now on to my questions: What aa's should I work on first so I can move from forgotten halls to vxed when i get flagged? Also what drum can i get that will increase my kill rate?
