Turn off mq2melee attack?

I'm workin on a custom macro for my bard and I want to be able to turn off attack when I need to mez adds...

So... uh... how do you turn off /killthis in mq2melee when you want it to not engage again until commanded? I have the hardest time with mq2melee being weird about turning off and also when I switch targets.
