I have been trying to find a decent list of cheap recipes that i can use to max out the main 7 Tradeskills with trophies so i can go and grab the items from ToV forward and level them and such on my main.. as well as trying to see if there are decent items that use like NoS or higher expansion items maybe or any other better farming spots that i can spend time in because plat is my enemy and i don't have a lot to spend buying materials from other players.. with the added cost of vendor related items...

WW drake caves drops everything you could need for CoV TS recipes if i recall.

ToV, i think quite a bit of it could be found in GD coldain caves, supplement it with the wurms

ToL i noticed certain spots were "hotspots" for crafting items, Umbral plains elementals by VT for gems was a spot i recall. I quit mischief during this expac so i never bothered getting too deep into it.

Don't forget about Overseer. If you have a bunch of boxes, you can actually get an OK amount of mats each day. It won't be amazing, but you if do it consistently you'll one day find yourself with a ton of materials.

It's a good supplement to your regular farming.

I do overseer everyday.. i mainly choose TOB mats .. currently farming NoS doing hunters and stuff

Almost every expansion since like EoK? has an easy recipe to put you to 300 for nearly all TS. You just save TS mats as you're playing.
Yeah im trying to find those lists of items that dont require a lot of materials vendor wise cause im tight on plat... been farming for 3 days and only got 700k

I am not a person that does tradeskills. I usually refer to those that have done them before. Like Bonzz website https://bonzz.com/master.htm or other similar guides. Most of the TS mats to get you to 300 are actually found in older zones. They really messed with how TS drops work in modern expansions. The mobs in the modern expansions tend to only drop the expansion specific drops needed for doing the recipes for that expansions' recipe list. Those recipes will be needed to get you from 300 to 350.

If you are struggling to farm plat - I would look into going to HoT or VOA zones as they tend to produce higher levels of plat and gems.

Thank you, the mobs in NoS are dropping sometimes 100pp a piece per kill cause I'm currently doing NoS hunters for bags.. also leveling my baby ranger while i do it. I haven't looked into Bonzz guide yet... i have been looking at EQTC and a few others I'll give this a look.. and I agree they did mess up how the drops are done its like you need to farm every zone just for one piece of gear or Tradeskill recipe .. its been crazy how many silks i have while named hunting but very few ore or timber or whatever else...

Different mob types drop different types of materials. I know someone somewhere has a more comprehensive list per expansion as to what mobs drop which item you need. If i remember correctly they split them into like 5 mob types with materials that kindof match those types. Animals/Beasts, Insects/Spiders, Undead/Humanoids, Golems/Elementals, and Plant type creatures.

*Just to add: NOS is by far the worst expansion when it comes to named spawn rates. So I would also guess the drop rates for TS mats are horrible as well. NOS is not an expansion I enjoyed doing hunter for.

Yeah its been more silks then any other possible drop item and the hunter rates have been bad but i didnt wanna start hunter for bags in say ToL or lower i thought for sure it would have balanced itself out when it comes to spawn rates for not only name but drop rated on the materials ... im noticing certain mob types drop 1 item and then might every 100 kills drop a different item but only 1 of them and then if you move then you are screwed cause the next mob sets only drop the one item that the other mob didnt drop but wont drop a chance for the item you were farming before moving

If you need bags the hunter achievements for bags starts pretty early. I believe in GoD and onwards gives out bags for achieves. NOS is probably the worst to start with for hunter - from my experience.

Of note, the heroic AA include hunters starting in EOK...in case you're also looking to get those situated. Think all the way back to CotF they had 40 slot bags for at least the final hunter achievement though. CotF is also when the heroic AA via achievements starts.

That is my plan is to go back and grab all of the heroic aa im currently missing.. there is just so much to do in this game and its hard to pick and choose what you do when.. I was working on my epic and then epic needs tradeskill so it set me on the tradeskill path and then i needed mats so i went farming then i started getting named and was running out of space so was like ok hunter lol.. i think i just got adhd brain really bad and i need to find something and stick with it.. I Finally found a guide for those that are needing it... ill post link to it here.. so those that read this can refer to it...

This guide gives recipes per expansion that can be used to raise your tradeskills and what materials are needed and everything ... even has some of the less material requiring recipes to raise tradeskills... i really appreciate all of the advice and everything here has been really helpful.. i need to make a excel sheet with all of the things i need to do for my main and that way i can check it off when i get something done..

Happens to me all the time also. Get started on something and then something else pops up so concentrate on that and then another thing.....on and on. Plus I get tired of doing tradeskills all day and will switch to something else.

I might suggest dumping the spread sheet idea, I spent more time updating that than playing the game. I use the Hero's Journey a lot now to track what I need to do. Since it shows which missions and tasks etc.

Couple things I like to make priority:

Get the tradeskills as high as you can. The best aug in the game takes 350 in all. Most players still wear it at level 130. There are lots of guides but I tend to get lost reading those and again, time is gone. So I just google what I need now. Like cheap pottery at level ?? in eq. Always have the eq at the end. Even a half an hour a day will help.

Since part of that aug is POP flagging and that can be real easy with our higher levels now, I try to get that done sooner

Progression and ports. There are a few zones, like in TDS that require you to do the progression, or for the ports you need to do all those in West Karana to attune yourself. Get these done and out of your hair so you can move around freely. There is an NPC in Degmar the Lost Castle (that is in TDS) that sells breadcrumbs, well they are free but he is the only way to get a good quantity of them. You could forage in POJ but that will take years.

Im still looking into all of that..i havent found the guide for the book collection to raise tradeskills to 350 and the progression and stuff for the artisan prize and everything.. im a dad to 3 girls and a very busy schedule so constantly researching things is a pain lol i wish there was a nice neat bundle of information that had it all in one guide.. but that is unrealistic lol. i also have to find the time to farm some stuff for sell cause i live on krono its just hard to balance it all... im half tempted to sell all of my raid/prestige gear so i can just do whatever lol .. right now it kinda feels like its a job to keep at the rate that im going and i want to enjoy the game.

Honestly, if you are doing the TS just to complete an epic then 300 should be sufficient level in any one skill to complete that. I would definitely spend time doing Jewelry as that will help in creating modern expac augs to use. That is going to involve farming plat to afford the combines. I've not done the Artisans Prize on a single toon yet. If you want a shortcut to farming plat just spend $17 on a Krono and sell it for the ingame plat and you should be able to do most all your vendor purchased TS with those funds.

i wish i had the ability to buy krono would make everything easier and id like to not only get to 300 but also max so i can do artisan prize and cap it out as well so im steadily trying to find a path to that.. my brain just keeps jumping all over the place... but i do plan on doing tradeskills 300 so that can be 1 thing done and over with ... then i can find a guide for all of the books that are needed to get to 350...
