Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt (3 Viewers) 4.1991b

Hmm, that actually sounds like a good idea. The only downside would be storage space on the toon pulling them out of the depot. I know in this case the toon receiving has plenty of slots, but the source toon can be limited some times. Maybe if it went until it had 2-3 empty slots, then delivered those items in a batch.
That is kinda mitigated if you do a set of recipes at a time (mostly), doing a thousand is not advised :p

Opens the way for options I suppose.

my dude made a bunch of velium polished quarts necklace magical. im not sure why it learned the recipe and when i reloaded tcn it tries to make it again. its only doing it on the magical one. after i forage some more quartz i guess ill just batch those instead of letting artisan tab do them for now

never mind it was some wierd fluke ive run 3 other people through this bag after replacing those quartz and none of them did it. im thinking it lagged at the perfect time

Glad it worked out, it was a roller coaster ride from the opening sentence to the scooby doo ending.

actually it did it 3 times on the 2nd group. im not doing anything on the pc but running one eq window with tcn doing the artisan tab so it shouldnt be lagging. they stoped after making 10 necklaces and moved on despite learning the recipe on the first combine. i think for the rest of the 2nd group and the third group i will just premake the necklaces to avoid it.

are you able to provide the recipe ID and/or the exact recipe name so I can just give it the once over?

For some reason I keep getting this error message.
Craft- Artisan- Research completely closes it out. Also tried with blacksmithing, same result.
I uninstalled RG/MQ and reinstalled-- still same problem.

Did you run '/Lua run tcgsetup' that extracts the prize.db file that contains that table.

Thank you so much, I had to uninstall and reinstall- which I never thought to do the set up again - that was my problem. I appreciate it.

Is there a way to use this with the summoned banker? And if not- would you be able to implement that?
Can it be done, prolly, but I imagine the primary spots people would craft are next to PoK bank or GH which has a banker, so I am trying to figure out the use case.

I guess if you are right next to a Kiln and do not need to shop you can grab from your banker right next to you?

Well for example, I play on blue. Running back and forth across the small bank makes me look extremely suspicious taking the same path back and forth from- let's say Dogle to the merchants to the research table. However, if I had a banker popped I could stay in the general area for everything I need.
Another example- if I am doing brewing then I'm running against the door and into it until it closes through my character.

I mainly combat that by limiting the numbe of recipes I attempt at one time. I just wish I could set it beyond the 100 limit, as when I am starting out on TS's like research, there are over 4000 recipes to go through.

Um, you can. You just uncheck the box next to the limiter.. if you are trying to cycle a bazillion recipes?

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but don't the majority of people get their goods from vendors and then hightail it to the GH to craft? or am I hallucinating like ChatGPT?

I have only used it in POK. I set it typically to 100 but I let the program buy everything as it goes. I have hardly any space for anything. (Need to go through bags lol)
I'm not sure how much extra work it is for you to add that feature, but was just throwing that out there as an idea.

I’m having an issue with jewelcrafting recipes where it tries to use the reinforced jeweler’s kit and it opens a 1 slot container window labeled “Container” and sits there. If I open the reinforced jewelers kit manually and hit experiment the Lua continues. The kit is in the last slot as normal.

Any idea why that could be happening? The recipe doesn’t matter, in this case it’s Prismatic Palladium Bar.

So something that has worked forever no longer works (forever is about 4 years), the behavior appears to have changed. I dunno if I trust my way as I am testing it but I got it to work without having your experience.

Yea it appears to be tied to the new "locking" ability.

Thanks for the quick fix! It made the GoD jewel crafting quests quite interesting doing them manually. I finished my JC 350 yesterday, TCN made it so much easier to organize and execute. It's a very useful tool.

velium polished quartz necklace (magical) and velium polished quartz necklace. If i make one or the other I had no problem but it just keeps spamming one type trying to learn both. there is silver gold electrum and platinum versions of the same recipes but they all work

Attempting to run the Artisan Quest - Tinkering Supplies (yes on a gnome, not illusioned) and keep running into this error message...
Screenshot 2025-11-22 172528.png

EDIT: I found the problem, I switched to standard crafting and tried selecting Geerlock Laminating Device, the Lua got stuck and crashed the EQ client. I reloaded and went straight to the Standard crafting tab and tried again, this time I got the message that we already have one (actually 8 of them) and not making another. Moved them all to my Dragon's Hoard and tried the Artisan Quest again, and it proceeded to run the quest.

LOL, EDIT #2... so after completing the quest and using the buttons to go to Halas, Nav to Lebounde, and Turn In, it turns out that TCN has deposited the Geerlock Laminating Device in the bank after completing all the create steps...

Yea, there is a check for auto-deposit in the options that puts stuff in the bank and tools is one of em. It is a house-keeping effort so you are not saddled with tools and junk while out adventuring but the option is available for the user to leave it on or not.

I have not revisited the idea of making 20 Glaciators at once I was thinking of making a custom tool maker for all the tools, but not there yet.

Hi, I just tried to do journeyman jeweler trophy and when I hit generate shopping list, it just hangs processing. This is something new that I haven't had an issue with before? I let it run for 30min with no change.

A supposition is *other than the black pearl* everything else is store bought and the black pearl is also, but, from a pop up vendor.. so? maybe?

Meaning, if you have everything (presumably) or can get everything, it won't show anything.

Also, I saw that it said GOD quest was running (if true) I would expect other things not to work or continue until that was finished first.

The ring recipe requires a scale ore *farmed*, and a gnomish heat source, so if you already have the scale ore then it def would not show anything for that recipe.

The good news, I have knocked out a large part of the SOR update pack, the bad news, the data sources are not 100%, and some details are currently missing (recipe ID's and recipes)

No updated source for weapons at this moment (for recipes/ID)
No updated source for alchemy at this moment (for Recipe ID)

Also iffy on the honed riven ore thing, and also the tailored version of the Riven Arcana Transmogrifant Patch

and about 4 other recipes that don't fall in those categories above are also missing the ID, I am watching eqrecipes.free.fr/ZAM/Lucy like a hawk.

I don't like putting out half-baked stuff in general and if I did I would be Bethesda *shots fired*... Ok I won't just pick on them throw in Ubisoft, Square Enix, 2K Games.

keep watching!

Anything we can do to help?

The sources I use are Lucy/ZAM/EQTraders/EQ Recipes Free/EQResource/Bonzz, to my understanding none of these sources even put together has all the info (currently). But you are more than welcome to correct me if I am in error.

The current state:

Baking, Brewing, Pottery, Jewelry (99%), Make Poison, Fishing (99%), Tinkering, Research (98%) - These are fairly solid

Smithing , Fletching, Alchemy - These got a ways to go

I am of the opinion that not being able to make the weapons and armor is a sad day in who-ville.

One other resource you may be able to leverage is Sharecraft. I am not sure where they are on the SOR recipes, but it may be another resource you can use.

Live SOR Recipe Update:

Alchemy (100%) , Tinkering (100%) , Fishing (100%), Fletching (100%), Research (100%), Brewing (100%),
Pottery (100%) , Baking (100%), Make Poison (100%), Tailoring (100%) , Blacksmithing (Recipe 100% / Item ID
96.154% ), Jewelry Making (100%)

This was a lot more effort as I had to sift through 5-6 sources, and NGL some of them were just wrong. EQTraders has been missed.

Disclaimer: Providing the Item ID's, Recipe ID's, Item Names, and Recipe Names are all correct. There have always been a little growing pains each time because of missing, incorrect, or non-existent info.

1st person to provide me with the (valid) item ID for the Diminished Bardiche gets a copy of SOR recipe pack gratis..

or if I get it first then you get jack and squat and jack left town.

If you hadn't guessed I am missing just one item ID and then I will release...

making an educated wish, if I am right, you lose, if I am wrong, someone wins.

Small recipe name correction.

TCN has Inured Recurve Bowstring but in game the recipe is called Inured Recurve Bow String (two words), even though the item name is one word =/

Can Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt handling running on 2 different characters? Also I keep getting a crash notice on my desktop. I did make sure /dnet fullnames off.

---------------------------
EverQuest Crash Detected
---------------------------
MacroQuest caught a crash:

Process ID: 7076
Version: 3.1.1.3503
Location: eqlib::ItemContainer::GetItem+0 (C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\VeryVanilla\MacroQuest\Release\eqlib.dll+000000000002DF80)

CrashID: e3368343-5c24-4ad0-9e72-643f4b307d88

You can either:
* [RETRY] Continue execution and hope for the best.
* [CANCEL] Write a crash dump and terminate EverQuest.

Copy the contents of this dialog to your clipboard by pressing Ctrl+C

---------------------------
Retry Cancel
---------------------------
So for crashes, if it is random, the only hope is Squad Dev gets the dump and Sleuths the bajeezus out of it. If it is repro, and I didn't change anything on my end, it points to a host of things, Sometimes it is me, sometimes it is DBG, and sometimes the Devs make things as intended which means I have to correct what I hammer and chiseled.

I had a bug in the Lua script when crafting multiples of an item for leveling up a TS. If I select 10 on the qty, and I fail to where there is an item left in the TS container window, the script does not clean out the container window, it just keeps on putting things in there, so you end up with a stack of items in the window, which then fails for the rest of the run of 10. It resets once the 10 attempts are done, but does take more time.

I'm having the same issue the last 2 days. I've had to clear the window manually for the script to continue.

So the determining factor is DBG and the fairly frequent updates post launch, so it is up to me to determine if it is a fixable outside of Lua or if it is my Lua structure.

If I remember correctly, closing the container empties the container also..

I was being extra before, but I will confirm if closing does the same thing faster, but then re-opens..

I have a solution for now (don't like it very much), it bypasses a check and just cleans the whole container, but I guess closing and opening would be a chore also, I am looking for solution C which is not presenting itself right now.
