Will only buff the Warrior and Bard, but no one else. self idle or even just self does nothing. I've been fighting with modbot for more than 2 days now to get it to do basic stuff. They'll fight, heal, follow, camphere, etc. However, I can't get anyone in my group to buff until recently. Now it's only two different toons they'll buff??

I've tried RE'ing examples, other people's configs, etc. No dice....

Also, after buffing my war & bard, if their buffs drop, my cleric will not rebuff??? Netbots is on/on/on too.

Thanks :)

Can you post your entire INI?

I made innocuous changes to my inis over 2 days trying to get them to work. Randomly made a change and my enchanter started buffing himself and mezzing. Impossible to point to what fixed it as i'd make a change -> reload MB -> test -> see it doesn't work still -> repeat. Did that for 2 days straight.

Going through other examples, some supposedly working for others and wouldn't work for me. No idea what was up. I'm on Rizlona if that counts?

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get my enchanter to med while in combat when he doesn't need to cast anything. Someone said it's a condition/event, but no one has an example so far?

As for MB in general, it feels VERY brittle and not much feedback as to why something is happening :(. Still trudging along tho!

A lot of stuff comes into play so it is much easier to review an entire INI to provide feedback. All of the various sections are related in ways that might not be the most obvious. I sent you a PM on the sit, but I'll post it here for others too.

A work around from avoiding adjusting radii and hoping it works would be a simple script. You can use a few of the sections, but I'd lean towards the buffs section and use a combat tag.

[AH5]
Gem=script
Spell=sitscript
SpellFoci=
DurMod=
SpellAlias=
Announce=
SpellMinMana=0
TarCnt=1
TarType=self cbt
Recast=FALSE
SpellIcon=
PreCondition=/if ({Me.PctMana}<95 && {Me.Standing}) /return TRUE

[Script-sitscript]
Commands=1
C1=/sit

It's hard to give feedback when you don't post the ini. Also, when you make 'random' changes, how are you deciding what to change? Are the really random, or are you at least trying to pick something that makes sense? It would also be helpful if you could tell us what you changed so that we could possibly tell you WHY that worked for you, which would help you in future adjustments.

Modbot will require you to take some time and think about what you want to do. For instance, if your chanter won't sit and med, check his SitManaPct. Also, check his Radius and SitAggroRadiusCheck. If there are friendly NPCs nearby, make sure you exclude them and save so that he will ignore them.

bb4 - I would think you really don't need something like that script.

FWIW - I have 3 hotbuttons on my main toon that adjust everyone's Radius and ACLeash settings based on where we are camping. Normal/Large/Small. In a cramped dungeon where I want them tight is different from a wide open space and can also be different based on the type of mobs and what types of spells they cast. And don't forget your Camp radius. And whether or not you are returning to camp under certain circumstances. Once you understand how all the settings come into play, along with the MQ2MoveUtils/MQ2Melee stuff, you will find it much easier. But, yes, it takes some time to learn and adjust.

That's the thing that's frustrating for me, is that the things i didn't change (or did in some cases) shouldn't have affected anything.

Right now, as I mentioned in another thread, I logged in for the day and suddenly no one wanted to use any kind of buff. Didn't change any ini settings at all since the night before when they ran ok with buffing (healing was VERY spotty). Sat there for 2 hours trying to figure out what changed. All I did was recreate the buff section and suddenly they'll buff certain toons but not others. For instance, my druid will sow herself and the enchanter, but no one else. My enchanter will buff the monk but none of the other melees I have in his inis. I feel as if there's a more unique situation going on with something that is collecting data on who's available to BE buffed??? I've spoken to one other person who uses modbot on Rizlona who doesn't have these issues....not sure????

This is my enchanter's ini, and despite having clr/dru/enc setup to be buffed with crack he only buffs himself and the druid (ignores cleric). The haste buff only hits my monk but ignores the warrior and bard :/.

ps: I ended up nuking my MQ2 directory in order to try and root out anything that might be causing conflicts with MB (since i was going back and forth between KA or MB when either would break randomly).

Zoning into another zone seems to have "refreshed" the brain of my enchanter?? He'll now cast clarity on everyone i have set, and haste on my 3 melee toons. Is there a way to do that without zoning? Is there a command somewhere in modbot or netbots to force updates/refresh in some form???

Trying to debug what's going on here.

More on this:

Logged in today and again, enc/druid/cleric refused to buff anyone....refreshed my configs and they'd only buff one or two of 6 toons. Went through a zoneline to see if that changed anything and suddenly they started buffing everyone correctly?? Any idea what the cause of this could be, and how to not be forced to zone to fix this issue in the future? (a slash command maybe for refreshing data?)

Thanks!

Change this to 1 or 2. That will help.

Is everyone connecting to EQBC? It really sounds like that is your issue because zoning will usually fix that.

What are your fps settings and those types of things. I'm wondering if your background toons are being throttled.
Think I tracked down the issue to being purely an EQBC issue, switched to EQBCS2 (which isn't documented anywhere to use instead) and got my guys working well. Only issue i've run into now is how to set an OOG MA/MT without being in a raid (for powerleveling purposes). Having trouble setting that up because the ini config is ignoring manually setting it.

Do /bca //varset TankName ${Me.Name}. That will set the tank name for everyone except the toon you are on.

Yea, they'll stop doing anything for a pull or two and then start right back up assisting etc. Any idea what that's about? I had to create a weird work-around by having my bard, who is combat assisting my warrior, to periodically tell everyone in the group to fire a specific macro that assists and sends pets. Janky but it works...kind of.
