Question - Toons not attack certian targets

This is just a question and I assume things are working as intended. I was wondering if there was away around it. He is my question. When running Goroywn mission in ROS, my tank (Main assist) will go to attack the portals to destroy them. My melee and casters toons stand there and look at the tank like he is an idiot (He is an idiot :xd:, but that is not the point here). I can manually start the attack on melee and they will help, but it is a struggle lining them up to hit it. This also happens with sprouts in the OT mission. The timing in this mission is a lil more critical to get stuff dead.
 
From what little I have seen since starting to use MQ2 recently, it appears as if the toons will not assist if the ma does not have agro (i.e. not in extended target window) which seems to make killing barrels, crates, portals etc. a manual exercise. I believe i have come across this as well. Maybe there is some setting I have not discovered yet. Still in OMG information overload stages. :)
 
It's pretty easy to just send out a bcg to tell everyone to add your target to their extended target windows and after fight u tell them to clear it back to auto. It's /extended add or something. (I think and if it isn't it's a command I can easily add, because as soon as they get the mob on extended the team should jump right in...)
 
/xtar add - will add current target to next available slot and /xtar remove will remove the last slot filled

/xtar set # ${Target.Name} - will set your current target to a set slot # (ie 1-13)

you can in game /xtar for a list of commands/syntax - it is an EQ feature not MQ2
