Question - Toons kinda twitching in place - jittering

Only thing I have changed is I am back to WinEQ.

I have noticed, and it could be any toon NOT in the foreground, that after a battle, and about when they would go back to camp coords, once in a while, randomly, and a random toon, would start to kinda jiggle in place as if stuck on something. Nothing is there, and it doesn't always happen, and not to the same toon.

The toon will not reset, not engage in any activity whatsoever until I free them. Most times, all I have to do bring that toon to the forefront to unstick them. This might be why I stopped using WinEQ a few weeks back.

Any ideas?

you have too much Java loaded...... omg that was funnier in my head

Lol no, that's funnah!

Oh, another thing that I had changed 'recently' was adding MQ2AdvPath. Having said that, on a whim, I unloaded it on 2 toons and it hasn't happened on those 2 toons since... so yeah, Ima thinkin AdvPath hates me. I will monitor it awhile to make sure but I know hate when I sees it.

Yeah, unloading MQ2AdvPath stopped the behavior. I tried /advpath off but that didn't do it. I was really liking /afol...

Crap, still happening, a lot less frequently than with AdvPath loaded, but still happening.

Change the background stuff in wineq, its caused by the pulsing while in the background, can try graphic or cpu limiting. whats your comp specs? quad core? hyper threading?

Over the years I have had 1 toon or another spin in place or jitter in place, I usually reset his kiss or sit and stand and he stops.... no idea what the deal really is...

I have a Dual Quad Core Xeon, so 8 tru core, and a GTX750 TI 2GB.

I was wondering about the background settings since it seems to correct itself once brought to the forefront. You think increasing the background limiting might resolve it? It's fine running raw EQ (which iirc defaults to 30 fps background - which I thought high) but WinEQ is set to 15 FPS background (the default). That too low and causing probs? From a technical perspective, it doesn't make sense since the FPS limiting is strictly screen-refresh and shouldn't affect code execution. However CPU limiting might... I will double check those settings (again they are default settings). I don't think I am using CPU limiting but have to dbl check, if I am it is some default somewhere.

May want to review everything that is trying to effect background throttling. Like are you using plugin like MQ2FPS, or MQ2CPULoad, or MQ2Clip (just ones I can think of off the top of my head) as I understand it you only want one thing controlling each aspect. For instance if you are using winEQ's CPU limiter, you don't want to use the plugin. Same with FPS.

Ok, I had background in WinEQ set as CPU limiting (which is the default - I dint change it). THAT would definitely affect code execution. So I switched it to Background FPS limiting and things seem much better. I will monitor it awhile but that could explain it. Lol it is using more of my available CPU processing now but it's better than having execution lag! Outa RC Warl0ck, will hit you up tomorrow (for the cheeseburger today ~ Raz), thx for suggesting I look at that!

Crap damnit, spoke too soon, still happening. If I have to turn off EQ's limiting, how do I do that? Just set foreground and background to max and let WinEQ do the limiting?

oh the other thing is make sure you only have 1 thing throttling your fps, either in game or in isboxer or whatever, or shit gets squirrely

Lol its worse than ever, wish I hadn't futz'd with it. I see no way to turn WinEQ's playnice off. I have EQ's limiting both background and foreground set to max so it shouldn't be conflicting...

Ok found where to turn PlayNice off. However game isn't playable anymore. Trying to tweak my shit broke it beyond recognition. Gonna have to reboot n shit and start over. Shoulda just left it...

*sigh*

After rebooting and resetting, launched without WinEQ, everything is fine. I will not be trying it again. Wasted subscription since I don't have a monitor big enough to take advantage of ISboxer.
