Problem - This Noob has loaded unloaded and loaded MQ2advpath again and again. Toons don't budge when follow me button is depressed. (1 Viewer)

I can't be the only one. It just wont work and it's a basic thing from the official tutorial. Dated.......... 2005 btw. I press the Follow me button, the BC window says the group is following me, but they don't move. If I "afollow on" myself, I'll run to my target and then I can "afollow off". If I switch to that targeted party member and move him, it stops. Can anyone offer a simple fix? I don't mind making my own buttons and all that, but I'm just learning how to do it. I'd like to think the follow me button "can work". My computer doesn't seem to be choking on any of this.. I don't think it's that. MQ2NAV tools, the mimic button and come to me work. Is there a way to stop them quickly when they get to me?

So I'm going to piggy back on this one...i am running about 12-16 boxes on one of my PC's. I've used this before when i'm running around with one team 6 man team and it worked wonders with EQBC etc...

Now...for brownie points is there a way for me to broadcast that command to execute for only the members in that group only:
EXAMPLE:

Simpsons Group 1:
  1. Homer (Tank)
  2. Marge
  3. Bart
  4. Lisa
  5. Maggie

Flanders Group 2:
  • Ned
  • Mom
  • Kids
  • etc..

I just want only the Simpsons to come to Homer. Only way i knew to overcome this was just to get a mage in each crew and just COTH...

The problem isn't with afollow or any of that, its lag between your clients.

Well I mean with a mage there's never a problem...i'm just checking with the community to see if that's doable somehow. If I can free up the mages...that's like another bot group that can stand on it's own...lol

You would have to make another group channel within eqbc and have grp a or grp b enter it, then modify a key to do the actions you want sending to the grp you want to do things. Easier in dannet to run multiple grps that are independent

Mages are the win. I box 3.

Haven’t used dannet yet, any tips on how to do the eqbc channel thing?

It's been a few years since I use eqbc I think it's like bccmd join channel name and will need to do that with all that you want in that channel and then any bcg will go to that group channel only if it's from one of the toons that joined it. Dannet is easier as it auto populates groups when they are formed and have many different ways to chat between them

Hmm...thanks saar. I'll make some time this weekend to dig up dannet tutorials/instructions then. I mean the mage fix works like a charm, but it'd be nice to reconfigure the melee teams w/ melee config and the caster with their own config to maximize output
