War between Azeroth and the Horde enters its 670,000 year

After 670,000 years of war the Alliance and Horde factions still refuse to participate in peace talks. Experts claim that Horde/Alliance relations are at an all time low as new battlefields are waged over for territorial control. With additions like Arathi Basin and Alterac Valley, U.N. representatives are doubtful as to whether peace can be restored to the Eastern Kingdoms.

However, some still remain hopeful in the war between the Horde and Alliance. Although, even the strongest proponents recognize that there will be many factors paramount to fostering a peaceful coexistence.

In a press conference held earlier this week, acting prime minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, had the following to say: "There is a need for the Horde to further their development of the democratic institutional model as precedented by the United States and other free countries in order to form a stronger foundation of statehood. On the Alliance side there is a strong need to stop killing Horde children."

In addition, efforts have been made to ease tensions between both nations. The U.N. has deployed peacekeeping forces to the Horde territories to prevent further Alliance mortar team terrorist attacks, and Horde officials have approved the release of Alliance prisoners resulting in a whole new slew of "escort" quests.

Olmert will meet Monday with authorities on both sides seperately to discuss a plan that will hopefully result in "a little less killing."

Last week, a level 60 Undead rogue bypassed a level 10 Human Paladin flagged for PvP without engaging in combat. An event reffered to by Olmert as a "historic breakthrough" in relations.

Even the Bush administration appears willing to take a more active role in the Eastern Kingdoms peace process after the death of Horde leader Grom Hellscream and the election of Warchief Thrall to replace him.

"We are examining how the United States might best organize itself to be an active partner in what is now -- we hope -- a sustained momentum towards progress in the Horde and Alliance issue." Commented Condoleezza Rice, speaking in Portugal before flying to Stormwind.

Blizzard spokespeople could not be reached for commment as of press time.
