This so frustrating. Just when I think I am getting this whole thing (Kissassist) I get this happening. So long story short, I am setting up a new 6 box (War, Brd, Wiz, Clr, Enc, all at 36 and a 53 Mage). I have the War tanking (that is working fine) Bard is showing some real strange behavior. The Mage won't summon pets, toys, anything and isn't sending the pet to attack the mob. The Wiz is not rooting most of the time. And that damn Enchanter won't mez at all. I just got my other 6 box working well and now this. It's like my computer is trying to kill me.

I don't have PullLevel=0|0 set on my Ranger puller and it works just fine. She won't use Brusco's to pull the mob. She just runs up to the mob and aggro's by vicinity only. Then after no mobs are available to pull she sits down, I want to stop that. And do I have to put a Twist command in here? Like TwistOrder= 1 2 3? OMG is Boastfull spelled wrong? I just noticed that, damnit. Ok, well we will change that one.

So first off he won't Summon a pet. I triple checked the spelling of the spell (especially the space, and tried it both ways). He won't summon the pet toys. He won't give the pettoys to the pet and he won't send in the pet to attack. Sheesh. He does DPS and buffs just fine. And he will buff the pet too. Drives me nuts. And can someone point me to a Bandoleer guide please? I need it to put a focus into my setup. The ini won't take the item from my bags and put it in the primary slot to use to summon the pet.

Enchanter: here is the Mez section of her ini file

She won't mez at all. Triple checked spelling and I have tried both MezOn=1 and 2 (for single mez only) it just ain't happening. Pullling my hair out. She DPS and buffs just fine though. Debuffs too, no problem...just won't mez.

Now this one is really bad cause she will root occasionally. Granted the mobs are dying pretty fast but I have it set for 50. I have upped it from 30 in increments of 10 and still. And some of them are still walking away at low health. Drives me crazy cause there is no rhyme or reason to it. I set DPS1 that way on purpose for testing. Since adding the Mage she doesn't need to nuke as hard. And to see if that helped the root problem. Is root a debuff? Again, she nukes and buffs just fine, just won't root every mob and we get in a dungeon and that's not good.

Any help you can send my way would be much appreciated, and thanks for listening to my bitchin.

if you have a petfocus equippedyou dont need to worry about this, but if you need to equip one, the syntax is

I almost cried...You guys are wonderful, I mean it. The reason why I almost cried though was because of my stupid mistakes. These spelling errors are killing me, well embarrassing me that's for sure. Ok enough beating myself up and let's get to work lol.

I took this ini from guess who? Almar's guide ini lol. Then modified to my use. I left the "grant" in there cause I thought it was needed. Duh.

Oh and I put this line in my Mage's pet section...is it right? Syntax I mean?

I can definitely lose the Anarchy or Suffocate (if it's needed), mobs are going down pretty fast with Wiz and Mage in the group.

And I changed the Wiz DPS section to implement your suggestions, have yet to test it out. Thanks for that.

And Minuteman thanks for the suggestion, I will look at that when we get to the 51 level, and make that change. Cause your right Root just doesn't hold that well. Just like reg. invis sheesh. And yes I spotted the 2 L's lol. Sheesh sometimes I amaze myself with what a bad typist I am (or speller take your pick).
 
Oh and I just tried this on my Enchanter's pet:

[B]/bct magename //pettoysplz ${Me.Pet.CleanName}[/B] of course with the name changed and all. Worked great but it only summoned and gave 1 dagger. How can I make it summon and give 2 daggers?
 
okay i noticed you have debuffall on, but not debufall settings, either turn it off or set it up as it expect, or you gonna have a bad time on the chanter.

i run into the mage only wanting to give one weapon before because of the same name of the item, i forget if we did something with a number or something.
 
I just wanted to see what condition my condition was in (lyrics from an old song). Just an update...yesterday was a much better day. A lot of these problems that I talked about in this thread were my fault. Misspelling, plain and simple. If I would just slow down a bit and really look at things closely, I wouldn't make these embarrassing mistakes. Ok enough self flagellation, that's just me.

Happily the Bard is pulling much better now. She is still kinda weird about it though. Alot of times she will stop a certain distance from the mob and pause like she is casting Brusco's and then take off again back to the group (camp) with no aggro whats so ever. It's almost like she doesn't have LOS. Other times she won't stop and cast at all, but just run right up to the mob and wait for aggro. And not very consistent about either technique. Again, no rhyme or reason to it. Btw, this was in City of Mist. But at least she is pulling on her own. And it really helped to spell Boastful properly lol. At least she actually casts it occasionally.

A couple of things here, first of all it's VocArate not VocErate, sheesh (store that one away for next time). And see that #1 after the petson= , in the first line? Yeah that's real important to make your damn pet attack and to summon him. So the only problem I have left with him is the Pettoys issue. He will summon and give just 1 dagger to the pet. How do I make it 2 daggers instead? Oh and I put the Broom of Trilion in the PetFocus line with the slot being "Primary". Is that the right slot name? I have only logged him in once and didn't get to see whether he used the Focus or not. Will it automatically change it back out after he summons the Pet?

The Enchanter: by far, the biggest improvement. She Mezzes like crazy now. I can see where people like the ENC over the Bard for mezzing. I don't know but she seems faster somehow. I followed Kaeno1 suggestions and added the |debuffall|slow and |debuffall|crip parts to her DPS section and all of a sudden she started Mezzing, sheesh. Who da thunk huh?

As you can see I am using Immobilize instead of Instill with the added Conditions. I haven't seen the results as of yet. Mostly because the mobs are dying so fast that there is no time for the Wiz to even think about rooting. Guess we will have to wait and see on this one. Oh and a new problem, she draws aggro like crazy. So I slowed down when she nukes (hoping that the tank gets more time for aggro) and put in Concussion after just one nuke and she still draws aggro, any suggestions?

So there is the update to my woes lol. I have to say that I generally like this group. It features casters rather than melee. Ever since I added the Mage to the lineup, the mobs are dying at a very fast clip. The Mage and his pet are just little monsters. And I took out his Malo debuff to increase his DPS speed and it's even more amazing. Just didn't need it for these mobs. Now mind you, this is City of Mist. These have got to be the biggest pushover mobs I have seen in this game yet. Some of them even con Red and they still melt like a pop sickle on a hot summer day. Had a situation last night where I got a little carried away with the pull. Well it wasn't exactly my fault but it happened nevertheless. Ended up with 6 mobs in camp. I freaked a little. Well the tank picked up one right away. And lost the other one to the mage when he nuked it, and his pet polished him off like a boss. And the Enchanter mezzed 2 of them and the others? Well they melted into the ground. I don't know but they were all of a sudden...just gone. The rest followed suite shortly thereafter. And I sat there with my mouth hanging open going..WTF? It was amazing. After that I felt a whole lot better about this group. So much so, I have the Cleric nuking the Undead too. Which makes the mobs...you guessed it, go down that much faster. I am really impressed with the overall DPS of this group over the melee group. And I know that this will change when I get to tougher mobs, cause they all are a bunch of glass cannons. But for right now they are kicking ass and taking names in CoM. I like it.

I am posting this stuff, not to brag or pump myself up but to help reinforce this stuff in my brain and for posterity's sake. I would have others learn from my mistakes. And I couldn't have done it without the help I received from you guys. Thanks tor the all the advise, I really appreciate it.
 
Just wanted to re ask my questions in a more direct fashion than the previous post above:

1. How do you make a Mage summon and give 2 of an item to a pet?

2. Is PetFocus=Broom of Trilion|Primary the right syntax (especially the "Primary" part) for this line? And will KA replace the focus item after the pet is summoned?

3.Any suggestions on how to make the Wiz NOT draw so much aggro? Please reference the changes to her ini from above.

4. And last one...what makes the Bard not use Brusco's to pull? Is it LOS issues (just the place with notoriously bad pathing) or something else?

1. Did you try two entries? The multi-items from one summon is more for the later pet items where you summon a bag of items and want the mage to give certain items from the bag before deleting the bag.

2. That looks right. Does it not work? The swap focus item stuff isn't used as much anymore and I do remember another player saying it didn't work for an earring item awhile back. If it's a 2h item and you're using prim/secondary, that could also cause an issue with the swap code.

3. Use Concussion more? Maybe take it off |once and set it for just before whatever percent you get aggro?

Do you have access to the built in Aggro meter in EQ? If so you can use the KA Aggro section or do aggro conditions for your DPS entries. This would hit the mob with Concussion anytime the wiz went over 70% aggro

Eqtrader, sorry for not replying to this sooner, but this was my spring yard cleanup. It looks a lot better but I was wore out. Anyways some great suggestions here, I will try them out today and report back.

2. As far as the Focus, to answer your question, I forgot to look at the Mage's inventory window when I started KA to see if it switched the items out or not. So I don't know yet. But I will test it and get back to you. And to be honest, I THINK it is a one hand item, but I double check. Wait...http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=63, yep 1hb.

3. I did not know that you could use a spell like that in the aggro section. That is great info. I'll try that one first before I mess with the WAR stuff. I already had Taunt in there anyways. Concussion works great on my other WIZ, but that is a very Melee centric group. And I am going to change that WIZ's ini too. From DPS to Aggro.

So I don't know what to say...I am going to try Eqtraders suggestion though and see how that works then I will go back to yours and try it. I will report results back to you guys. No matter what works or not I still appreciate all your expertise and advice. Thanks a bunch.
 
“Grant Wirn's Armaments” is actually the full spell name if that helps with the confusion.

You are using a low pet toy spell.

You might want to repeat your toy line twice to give 2 toys as the “Grant” spell gives multiple toys at once.

Can’t test it as not home but may help.
