Welcome to NotAddicted’s biggest announcement of the year.

The Addicts “Warlander” Compile

“Warlander”, the title of our new compile, represents a year-long effort behind the scenes at NotAddicted.com spent reworking our active hacks from the ground up. The old, official NA compile had been patched and bandaged over the years, but not like this. “Warlander” is a new beginning. Our goal from the start was to raise our compile to the standards of the best Redguides years, and to the delight of anyone who remembers those days, we can safely say this has been accomplished. What we’re releasing today is the safest, most stable compile we’ve used since 2006. The Addicts Warlander Compile is new code and new packets made safer and more stable.

Hail Redguides, and hail Addicts. Warlander is here.

It's pretty bad when your so addicted all you can do is sit and wait and forage for tradeskills instead of killing things ..... but not about to box the warrior chanter and necro without sticky ....

You guys need a hand with any testing? Anxiously waiting to see what all is new hehe

Its all new so you are all testing Bwuhahahaha

So when do we get to start "testing" hehe loved the old compile, interested to see what's new hehe. Hoping maybe updates to make Melee work right for abilities through 90 hehe. Most all the classes I have rarely trigger their abilities, despite them being in the list.

i noticed that too rover Warrior use to cast is aura when i got the higher version he stopped casting, never uses call of challenge blast of anger or ageless anemity

Aye, and zerks miss everything but war cry and frenzy nearly every round, if not every round in combat, monks only activate 2-3 of their abilities as well, bards selos kick I don;t think was even in the list, don't recall seeing bsts big kick in the lists either. Don't think Maskoi's the project head on melee though, so I suppose that's more of a MQ2 VIP request area hehe.

/agree ROFL buddies been up and runnin since this mornin on the "other" compile lol, I'm too lazy to compile even my own anymore ROFL.

Looks like a lot of my settings got reset, gonna have to start from scratch on a lot of things. Maybe I should try restarting my computer.

What settings? What plugins? All I saw was an empty mq2hud.ini file.

Could I get a little help. I always try and download and extract over my old files and it never seems to like the client version and all my settings get erased. What am I doing wrong? Which files can I safely move into the new folder I create everytime to save myself some time loading old preferences?

Right now I'm trying to figure it out, but usually when I copy my macro folder and certain files to the new compile it setups everything just like I had it in the previous compile. Right now, certain things are not acting right - certain zones part of my map is missing along with these huge black lines all over the map. Tried reinstalling mapfiend maps, and still trying to narrow it down. Other than that I'll have to keep checking and try to figure things out.

I'm also extremely tired, so maybe I just need to check it all out tomorrow well rested.

  1. Open up your normal compile folder with the old compile files.
  2. Select folder view details
  3. Click on the Type in headers to sort by type. All of your old mq2 plugin dlls should be grouped together now.
  4. Select and delete them.

  1. Open the new compile folder you just downloaded and unzipped.
  2. Select folder view details
  3. Click on the Type in headers to sort by type. All your ini files are now grouped together.
  4. Select and delete the ones you don't want to overwrite.
  5. Copy the new files into your normal compile folder

A restart did seem to fix most problems. Once I'm clear headed, I think everything will be fine.

call of challenge - Your settings are wrong if your toon is not using it.
/melee callchallenge=1
/melee save

Aura, blast of anger or ageless amenity - none of these are in Mq2melee try making holyshits

So is something like a spawnmaster list a setting that always has to be carried over? having issues still with bringing over old preferences. My apoloigies for not being entirely computer literate =)

There are a lot of files and it can be confusing.

Yes stuff like the spawnmaster ini file is something you would have to copy over if you are using the new compile folder every time.

If you just copy the new plugin Dlls into your old folder as described in my post above you won't lose any of your settings.

Having an issue with MQ2Fippyzone, causes a client crash every time I attempt to use it no matter what zone I'm departing from or headed to. Have reset and reloaded, any other quick fixes or file checks to suggest?

DELETE MQ2FIPPYZONE.DLL FROM YOUR FOLDER.
MQ2Piggyzone is NEW and handles all zoning. It will automatically recognize if you are on a TLP server. Make sure you copy the new MQ2Fippyzone.ini file from the Warlander Compile folder. MQ2Piggyzone still uses it.

I am having problems with the Map showing NPC and PC as they spawn / zone in. :(

Is my INI file not working correctly? How can I fix this.

Sorry for the Bother.

Since im on the topic of Maps. How can I add a spwn to the audio trigger?

Read up a little higher with the person that had the exact same problem

/mac map

Clarification on mq2rez please?

I know the previous incarnations of mq2rez would basically be a nightmare of having to do the rez, then warp somewhere, to finally be able to move and it would leave a permanent unrezable body behind. Because of this I almost never used it unless i was in an instance or otherwise typically vacant zone and had no other real option.

Are you saying that mq2rez now effectively casts call of the wild on your corpse allowing you to select the zone on the rez box and be back with a completely rezable corpse now?
