The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.25.2011b

The Addicts “Ban'ei” Compile

Introducing “Ban'ei” the title of our newest compile following the release of Veil of Alaris. Built on our “Warlander” technology, our new compile, represents a year-long effort behind the scenes at NotAddicted.com spent reworking our active hacks from the ground up. The old, official NA compile had been patched and bandaged over the years, but not like this. “Warlander” was a new beginning and “Ban'ei” is the succession of that effort. Our goal from the start was to raise our compile to the standards of the best Redguides years, and to the delight of anyone who remembers those days, we can safely say this has been accomplished. What we’re releasing today is the safest, most stable compile we’ve used since 2006. The Addicts Ban'ei Compile is new code and new packets made safer and more stable.

Hail Redguides, and hail Addicts. Ban'ei is here.

There can still be errors in MQ2 so please be patient. There are new updates almost daily from the MQ2 Devs.
We will try to keep everyone and the compile updated as these are posted.

Please report any problems here.

Thanks

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

I'm scared of this compile, it has the word BAN in it! and the EI is too close to ME lol The new Ban'me compile! haha, kidding but I was really thinking this when I saw it! :P

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

lmao

The Warlander is a horse of Baroque type, produced by crossing Andalusian and Friesian breeds. The ideal Warlander combines the Andalusian's intelligence, facility for collection, flexibility, and powerful hindquarters, with the Friesian's tractability, dramatic leg action, "bone", and strong forequarters

Ban'ei
is a form of horse racing, unique to the Tokachi area of Hokkaido, Japan. Powerfully-built horses compete in putting heavily-weighted sleds up sand ramps while being urged on (and lashed) by 'jockeys' sitting on top of the sleds.

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

items that can be clicked in bags still swap to inventory or armor slot, dont know if that's planned to be fixed or not

mq2melee is spamming abilities again (you can use x ability in x amount of time) - field outfitter and commanding voice in my case.

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

That is an MQ2 issue that has been posted about but no decisions have been made yet. Everything currently works. The ability is only available in VoA so mq2 would have to recognize if you have the expansion or not and then a lot of different plugins would have to be recoded as well.

The last release had changes to the combat avlilities/skills again. Iit may have affected mq2melee. I will check it out.

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

Thanks maskoi, that clears it up for me, I don't know anything about breeding horses but it sure has cool names for it's breeds and racing! :)

I am not sure how I feel about the clicky item buff situation. Could it be a possibility to click certain items where they lie, and others that need to be equipped like my Lizardscale Plated Girdle. I know there's other things but that's an important one for me. I wouldn't mind it performing the old way as long as it works. I noticed that no matter where you put an item in your bags, if you move it around etc. the button you made on the hot keys for it still displays it and you can click it. So it links directly to the item, no matter where it is which is nice because I bandolier my epic in to use Innerflame still. Never know where that 2.0 is going to end up, lol.

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

Thanks Maskoi and happy thanksgiving! Without you we would all be dealing with this horrific expansion!

Hope you enjoy your stuffed scaled wolf.. or whatever is customary for you iksars!

Enjoy your Turkey! :) LOL Awesome pic btw.

I would suspect that if they were serious about banning MQ2 users that they would start looking for these types of behaviors (swap/click/swap). So the easy way to fix it would be to have the plugin or whatever that handles clicking items do it from the bag first if possible and if it does not work (gets some error message about not owning VoA) it could flip a switch and fallback to the old mechanic.

Me personally for this expansion I havent been touching piggyzone since that is what I suspect was getting people banned on progression servers. I also suspect due to heavy population density in some of the early on zones that warps arent really all that safe either plus GMs are probably spying heavily on the new zones for the first month or so of release. It's good enough to have MQ2Maps and a ranger to 'track' mobs.

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

can't /zone from argath to beastdomain, it sends you to char select

Re: The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a

Ok its a switch then will hunt it down and it to the ini file

i see the recent changes box at my char select but no actual mq chat window
// Sad Panda //
Deleted everything including the shortcut rebooted fresh install same thing
i show the program running in the lower right hand corner of the screen
i have the Recent Changes when i load to character select however i have no macroquest chat window and when i type in commands like /mac map i dont get an error message but it doesnt actually do anything ....

I have same symptoms as Toneman07. Took same corective actions and got same results.
I then reloaded The Addicts Ban'ei Compile 11.23.2011a.zip version and that version works correctly just like before.

Duh macroquest2.ini file got deleted by accidentwill upload new compile in a min

~Forgot macroquest2.ini duh

Thanks Maskoi started twitching there for a minute had to get out of the house and head to Fry's to look at new mobos lol

For the no MQ window, you can simply type /plugin MQ2ChatWnd, and it loads the chat window for you =). I always use my pre existing .ini file, and even with that loaded, none of my pre existing plugins were loaded, so I have had to go through and add them manually, time consuming, but worth it to have MQ back.

Its all fixed a new compile was uploaded

i have been using the same mq.ini for months without a problem.

also, /zone windsong = CTD

edit: nm its just my usual CTD randomly using /zone

I'm having a problem I have a social that's a multiple lines with pause between that sends bct commnds to control bots but now when I click it randomly the first line... or two lines... will go then the social will just stop. It seems like if I try to control the UI at all it interupts the social (like cast a spell ro hit a key) versus where it used to lock out using hotkeys but I could still cast spells by the spell gem icon.

Any clue?

Can't tell you anything with out you posting the hot keys you asking about.

used /timed time /command

for instance
/bct warrior //target npc
/timed 10 /bct monk //assist warrior

etc.. 10 is 1 sec

The command is:

Page6Button5Name=SDPS
Page6Button5Color=0
Page6Button5Line1=/pause 20, /bct shmbot //melee off
Page6Button5Line2=/pause 35, /bct shmbot //casting "Undaleen's Venom Rk. II" -targetID|${Target.ID}
Page6Button5Line3=/pause 45, /bct shmbot //casting "Spinechiller Blood Rk. II" -targetID|${Target.ID}
Page6Button5Line4=/pause 45, /bct shmbot //casting "Nectar of Torment Rk. II" -targetID|${Target.ID}
Page6Button5Line5=/multiline ; /bct shmbot //casting "Hex Rk. II" -targetID|${Target.ID} ; /bct shmbot //melee on

CharName's changed to protect the innocent (shmbot = my shaman name) and this is sent from tanks line. What would happen before it it would send melee off... wait a bit, then send first... wait a bit, send second... and I couldn't use hotkeys until the entire social was done... now... it randomly interupts/stop[s in middle.

Did this stop working correctly after VoA came out with the new hot bars?

Try dumbing it down to eliminate variables and just use valid eq commands. Take MQ2Cast out of the picture see if that works first. Just use /cast and gem # for the spells.

Rich (BB code):
Page6Button5Name=SDPS
Page6Button5Color=0
Page6Button5Line1=/pause 20, /bct shmbot //attack off
Page6Button5Line2=/pause 35, /bct shmbot //cast 1
Page6Button5Line3=/pause 45, /bct shmbot //cast 2
Page6Button5Line4=/pause 45, /bct shmbot //cast 3
Page6Button5Line5=/bct shmbot //attack on

Yes since VOA and it seems that it works if I dont interact with UI as macro running.

And that wouldn't work since it doesnt target the mob or declare what mob to target, but I tested another random one that has no special stuff and yea it interupted mid go too. Like when ur /pause iof u use another ability thats a hotkey it stops the social from continuing after the pause ends.

Just tested it, yes, if you use another hotkey (like an AA) during the pause it stops the social... if you however cast spells using gem then it continues...

Any clue?

I played with this and was able to reproduce it.

VOA update notes states - Social hotkeys can now be aborted by right clicking them.

It appears they can also be aborted by clicking a different social / hotbutton.

So if you are mashing keys stuff gets interrupted.
This is a new EQ game mechanic and really doesn't have anything to do with MQ2. We will have to try different combos until we find something that works. You may need to make a separate hot key for each spell because it sounds like just hitting any other key while playing your tank interrupts the commands sent.

Will have to play more with multiline and /timed so all the commands are sent and then parsed by MQ2

/multiline ; /assist TankName ; /timed 15 ; /casting spellwhatever ; /timed 30 ; /casting spellwhatever2

try something like that

So if you are mashing keys stuff gets interrupted.

It does NOT appear to be any key... just when you activate another social or use a hotbar button to activate a EQ slash command. Seems to abandon the original social in favor of the new intruction.

This will likely take a lot of testing and getting used too.

The social I was interupting looks like this:
Page3Button4Line1=/pause 8, /casting 120033
Page3Button4Line2=/pause 8, /casting 120348
Page3Button4Line3=/pause 8, /casting 120009
Page3Button4Line4=/pause 8, /casting 120359
Page3Button4Line5=/pause 8, /casting 120355

I hate getting used to new things, sigh.

Ok I was using the Ban'ei Compile b and it was showing up in the little box and not bringing up an MQ2 window or something went back to using the a compile.

A new b compile was uploaded i forgot the macroquet2.ini file
