New player here. I am in love with kissassist. Great job on it, this is also a great community!

Is there a special process I need to do to get things working again? I am assuming things are broke because of the recent patch.

Make sure you download the latest compile: From the home page: http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php/42743-Very-Vanilla-Compile-20160615. Or, preferably, go to your MQ2 directory and run Update.exe.
