Does anyone have a decent idea of where I should go to get going at level 51? I have tried a few things for my 6 man group but I am finding it a little to difficult, or the XP isnt worth the time. Planes of Justice is a little boring and Plane of invention (s?) my tank just wants to run over to the NPC Gnome at the zone in to "validate" NPC? so I dont get much done there.

Thanks for advice

If you are using the plugin for Eskay (Shadowknight) for example, you can ignore that target by targeting the npc and entering/shd ignore.
Or are you using KA?

You can add quests NPCs and such to the pulling ini under the mobs to ignore. Does MA use the same one as KA does?

Edit: look under the muleassist_info.ini and see if you can add mobs to ignore much like you can add ones to burn.

I am using Mule, I havent purchased Eskay yet, that is in the very near future when I get higher level.
both kiss and mule can do ignores from in game with the macro running

Here are some ways from > MuleAssist Info <
Adds the given mob to the ignore list for pulling. You can also /addignore while targeting the mob to add it to the list. Accepts partial names and checks against ${Spawn}
/addignore ${Target.CleanName}
/addignore ${Target.ID}
/addignore skeleton

I like Velketor's Labyrinth and Greig's End in the 50s.
I was in Velketor's, I tried to go up and had issues with pathing for my boxs, so I stayed towards the ground and the spiders / gargoyles were getting slow.

SOrry all, I am still really new to all this, so I am learning as I go.

Thank you, I will do that

I dont understand, my SK does the pulling and is the main assist. I have a bard however, havent figured out how to get her to pull and change songs once back to camp so I just pull with my tank.

Thank you all

MA being muleassist and KA being kissassist, like Sic said, you can also add targets in-game to be ignored.

LOL, I get what you are saying now /facepalm, I am reading up on this now!

Thank you

I like Veksar in Lake of Ill Omen at that lvl range.
Many "safe" spots where you can setup camp or log.

Honestly, related to the, "not worth the time" bit of things. I find sometimes that the time I spend looking for somewhere else to be could easily be used to grind out exp where I know I can survive and is available for me. It might seem slow, but progress of any sort is better than no progress at all. Sometimes I just stick to one spot and be thankful that I'm getting exp at all lol. Lower levels were somewhat complicated for sure.

With that said, Old Sebilis might offer you both a challege and exp. Might even grab yourself some clickies while you're there.

Sans any suggestions here you could take a look at this chart, which is a level guide for zones in EQ that should give you an idea of where to go to get exp.
Not sure what sort of server you're currently on, but if you're playing on live and have access to some of the newer gear types that are far superior to the gear of older expansions then you could venture into a zone with a higher starting level and expect to get results. I would say check the 55+ zones for content and try your hand at that. Siren's Grotto, Western Wastes, Vex Thal, Plane of Storms, Torment, Valor, Bastion of Thunder, Hate's Fury, Sol C, Barindu, Catacomb of Dranik (A, B, C), Harbinger's Spire, The Bloodfields, Large amount of zones in the DoN expansion, etc etc all start around level 55.

BoT and Drunder into tables in PoFire have been a go to for me for a long time. I know the headshot changes and lack of hDex at low levels probably changed the returns on the PoFire camp, but it was good even before that IMO. I don’t know what you’re gearing situation is like, but TBM is around the corner and gives you a relatively consistent means to keep gear updated until 105, at which point you can start to think of working towards Conflagrant gear.

Agree. Veksar is a great exp zone from 40-60ish. Mobs tend to have less HP and hit for less than equivalent level planar mobs. Decent coin, out of the way.

It's also a great zone to crawl through as you begin to grow in power. I labeled four great camp spots on a map for you. Each of the spots labeled are 100% safe from roamers, if I remember correctly.

1 is the first camp you come to, and the easiest. Mob levels are 45-49. Second goes up to 51-54ish mobs I believe. 3rd around 57ish. The fourth camp mobs are 59-62. Each of these spots allows for mostly single pulls if you are careful, with 2, maybe 3 max unless its some large blunder.

G'Luck.

I went from Goru giants (set up in the caves) and then to the Steppes - just to the right of the zone line from Goru. Worked pretty well and was easy to get to.

Chardok is another option that hasn't been mentioned. The Hole is also good.

This website is a good resource, lists zones by player level and they're given a rating out of 5 for the quality of the exp there (subjective), when you click on the map links the maps show the mob levels in the various areas.

Thank you all for the wonderful information. This community is awesome for sure!
If you’re in CT, once you hit 75, I can help you with the initial TBM gear purchases if you’re going that route. You can start running the missions for currency and buy augs that keep it updated all the way to 105. I could probably also help you with some conflag sets.

Id suggest GoruKar Mesa or Griegs end. If you are in defiant gear mostly, you could murder in GE.

Goru‘kar Mesa. You get defiant gear drops to improve your team and you can do the hero’s journey quests to get non visible gear (earrings, rings, etc).

you can also go see Franklin Teek n PoKnowlege to get daily quests for gear. These zones also drop special augs that will help. At this point gear is going to be important. Like level stuff will be challenging if you still have leather armor and fine steel weapons on your toons. There is another big jump in the 80s from what I hear but my team is still in the 70s so I’m still enjoying the defiant drops.

Have fun!

Hmm maybe I should jump over to CT

Overall I just go where Franklin Teek says the daily hot zones are for my level. Bonus exp and armor.

This guide is kinda cool cause you can click on the era you want to play in

@WindowUnit I used your map, it was really helpful, I stayed there and I am now level 61.

Thank you

Congrats, man.

There are a ton of good options in the 60-70s range.

My next stop is usually Castle 1 in Plane of Fire. Then Castle 2. A good alternative to PoFire is Infected Paw off of South Karana. Then I usually hit Riftseeker's Sanctum just because its such a gorgeous zone.

@tigwelder76 once you get to lvl 80, I would as if your tank can join someone's fellowship. If they are FTP and lvl 110, they would probably not care about XP.

@WindowUnit I tried "paw" last night but my puller just wanted to run to the mage at the beginning of the zone. Then stand there trying to validate her. I tried everything that I know to add her to my ignore list with mule assist. Couldnt make it work, I will try Then Castle 2 in POF.

@freeferli all three of my accounts are gold

For exp hunting locations, I have quite liked the planes.
  • Plane of Nightmare
  • Plane of Innovation
  • Bastion of Thunder
They are quick to get to.
If wish to take a break, but not offline, zone out to PoT, afk and save the buff timer decay
Short run to PoK for spells / vendor if needed as go up levels later 40s to early 60s.

Bonus as well for PoI (level 55) and BoT (65?) as they do appear in Franklin daily quest rotation.
Typical, kill 5 of X and get some exp and a tradable 'intricate defiant' item, shoulders, back or belt. Depending how you are gearing up, this could be the first haste item for belt. This is a pick-up only task from Franklin, and you are rewarded immediately on the task completion (e.g. 5th kill).

Veksar is nice and I have whack-a-mob hunted there.
Against it, is a few zones to cross to get there plus the water swim to zone in, then getting to the deeper camps in zone takes time.
For it, a zone that offers a steady increase in mob levels that cover the high 40s to 60s range.
It can also appear in the Franklin daily rotation, although the times I've seen it come up its for the highest level frogs in the north east corner of the city maze.
If the group has gains to be made from dps vs undead, they are in this zone as well.

Either can cover the the late 40s to 60s range.
But always be strong enough to handle 2 or 3 mobs concurrently, better with a CC to help lock down.
Better to have a bit weaker mobs, a bit less exp coming in, than trying to go too high and suffer wipes, recovery, loss of buffs etc.

EDIT: for anyone not knowing of Franklin in PoK. Franklin NPC details
Daily quests, for level 20 upwards, at staging of 5 levels.
